honestly I really think that Chaos was intended as a midrange mixup character with tricky pressure, it's just that people figured out tech to make him the most oppressive stupid fucking zoner.
I really hope he comes back in strive, if not for gameplay then soley because his character would be really interesting in strive's story. "The machine knew he could not change society, but instead of blaming humanity, he saw beauty in their lives".
I want Robo-Ky to not only come to Strive after watching this video, but I also want to play this game now and try him out. He looks hella weird and fun. So perfect for me. Thanks Hotashi!
@@massterwushu9699 Slayer has been in literally every Guilty Gear game since X. He's even been in the shitty spinoff titles like Dust Strikers. Let the boomer rest already.
This is the golden age of +R though, you can play it today on almost any pc with what's probably the best rollback and the best suite of features for people looking to getting into it. Rollback so good that you can play with 180+ ping and not have an unplayable experience.
Looking back, it's funny that you started this video talking about Happy Chaos, and then mid way through you were stuck in the corner unable to interact with a character who's a full screen away.
The tier list for this game is pretty outdated since rollback I think, +R was't explored enough, I think the only thing you can agree upon is Zappa Testament and Baiken are the most bullshit because they each prevent you from playing the game, but the rest is really up for debate.
I think Robo-Ky is still the worst character in the game overall due to needing to put in a lot of work for results that the rest of the cast can achieve more easely. Other than that and Faust also being in the top 4 +R is fairly balanced so it's hard to determine tiers.
@@vanjagalovic3621 Honestly, even 4th is just very contested, it's clearer that there's the 3 top, then there's a few characters just behind, like Dizzy, Chipp, Millia, Jam, and Faust. It's clearly two different tiers.
@@funkuro Sol is kinda low mid ( which is still tournament winning tier, see JasonRiot ). His damage is really good, but he tends to struggle a bit more to get things going against some characters in this game, getting in to start your strike/ wild throw mixup is hard. He's also very technical to play since all the sindwinder optimisation is character specific. If you want a modern tierlist for the game, find the recent TierList by Klaige on youtube, it's a very accurate one for the game in the rollback era.
In a game featuring Baiken, Testament and Zappa I would contest that. Plus both Revelator2 and +R are final editions of games with years of history and re-releases.
@@dapras Sure, you can expect the current pass to include both a newcomer and vet character, so pass 2 should have more freedom to look back. Most of pass 1 has been dedicated to bringing in major characters from Strive's story.
