Quite a few of these sounds were used for the numerous Mobile Suit Gundam English dub soundmixes. I could never find any info on why, but my best guess is that they wanted to spice up the sound design
lol i mentioned that too, they totally destroyed the sfx of the originals, japanese sound design, especially from that period, is INCREDIBLE. and it shouldent have been dubbed over at all
Hey, thatSFXguy. JUST curious... This was at the "beginning" of computer VFX but not too sure in RE to SFX. Were these SFX all done Foley or were these created on a computer? Or do you know? If not, that's cool, no biggie. I mean, I hear an electric drill, some gear and chain action. But just like in Star Wars, that was done all Foley. I THINK that I read somewhere that one of the guns on (I THINK) the X-Wing was simply a guy-wire being "twanged" with a piece of metal and the mic pressed against the wire itself. Then ran through a couple of analogue filters... Fascinating stuff!! Anyway, again, just curious and would like to know, that's all. Thanks for sharing these! Cheers!
@@ViewpointProd Yeah, kinda thought so. Thanks for the confirmation... Heh! At least the one. : ) May look into this further. The movie's SFX, that is. Hahahahah! And Betamax was STILL better!!! lol. Cheers!!
