This is different from the ending I got. In my ending, the doctor managed to save the woman in the parking lot and wrote a book. Pickles runs a local cinema and helped arrested the corrupt politician. Rookie cop makes his first real arrest. The reporter joined an underground resistance, and Robocop is still on the streets.
@@cassidywest5539 Because she would be giving up on taking down OCP. Remember Robocop takes place in a dystopian future, her joining a rebellion to take down OCP is what she believes in. I think they touched on her background story in one of the missions.
@@cassidywest5539 Because Ortiz ends up an OCP/Kanemitsu shill on that morning show. Bertha is the leader of the disenfranchised trying to keep their homes during the events of Robocop 3, please recall.
The man didn't sign up to be Mayor, he signed up to get cushy kickbacks from OCP and execute the policies they dictated to him. But by the time he becomes Mayor, they're in no position to do either.
I don't see how this is the "worst ending" Kuzak and Mills are both corrupt that's why I choose not to support either -- Kuzak basically even saying voter fraud/buying votes is worth it just to make sure OCP doesn't win the election, and he tried to buy your support as well. Mills wins the election by default, but he steps down and the game indicates a new election will take place -- which in my opinion, Detroit will get to elect someone that actually cares about them and not some corrupt puppet that abuses their power.
Choosing to save or kill the Old Man doesn't impact the ending, which is a shame. Only the choices you make with each character during the game makes a difference, and you can get mixed results. My first playthrough I killed the Old Man and I got a "happy ending" for all the characters except for the Dr. Blanche, she continued to distrust robots. Second playthrough, I killed the Old Man again, and got good ending for all characters. Fun game, I'm tempted to play again lol.
The reporter sold out to become a daytime TV host. This goes against everything she stood for throughout the game. In the bad ending, she takes a deal by recanting her statements and lets them be "unfounded" which destroys her credibility. The truth about OCP's corruption is buried so she can be an entertainer.
@@rudra7615 I thought that was kinda dumb. This game takes place after RoboCop 2, how do they not know what it is? Especially, when they both were just at the Expo. lol whatever.
@@ShadowBanned-o_Owell Lewis tried to tell Murphy, they just called it an old friend. It’s likely that OCP kept RoboCane witnesses quiet, because let’s be real, it’s not past them to do so.
Yeah Robocain scared the crap out of me as a kid. I really shouldn't have watched Robocop 2 when I was that young. The movie is full of nasty shit. I believe Robocain was supposed to have the body of a bodybuilder, the head of a knight and the arms of a swiss army knife. So complex that it wouldn't have been so easily copied and sold as a toy especially in Japan.
Yep. Robocop, Blade Runner, Terminator and Johny Mnemonic are (visual) cornerstones of cyberpunk. Though Arasaka is more Weyland-Yutani then OCP. Militech is OCP. Like straight up copy.
I don't think there is a "good" or "bad" ending. Mills won the election in my game but only because I chose not to support Kuzak or Mills because they are both corrupt and bad for Detroit. Mills steps down, and the game indicated Detroit will hold a new election which in my opinion means new blood, and not the same ol same ol corrupt politicals that abuse their power. I did however have a positive influence on all other major characters -- where they all changed for the better and overcame their traumas. Doing that and prioritizing public trust meant that Detroit citizens started protesting and fighting for Murphy's rights as an autonomous human being, and even the graffiti artist created an awesome graffiti of Murphy calling it "Robocop The Righteous" .
Damn the bad ending sucks. It's a terrible ending. Pickles Died, the Dr Blanche didn't keep calm and collected Ed-209. The Reporter sold out. Washington became a criminal... Pretty depressing. At least Funeral Bob still broke the record of most funerals attended
Lol in my ending the politician ocp abandoned the city in the first day, doctor saves a woman, pickled saves of murders the local cinema, rookie saves the puppies and the reporter now have her program of tv and robocop continues in the streets
This game deserves every dollar. Solid 8.5 game, if you grew up in the 80's and watch all the old movies. If you're a kid, you just can't understand. This game nailed the 80's vibes all across the board.
I was confused by what the news anchor said about Samantha Ortiz being involved with terrorists. I mean, I helped her gather evidence of the corruption of OCP and the plants to illegally evict thousands of people to build Delta City. Did I just helped the wrong person or does that somehow set the stage for the resistance against OCP in the third movie?
I just beat the final boss today but I didn't get the save him choice. Instead I only got 2 choices: kill him or leave him. How to unlock the save him choice?
Bertha was played by CCH Pounder in RoboCop 3 as the leader of the anti-OCP resistance. She’s a seasoned voice actor, so if a sequel game is made, she could reprise her role if they rewrite the plot of the third movie from a bad film to a good game.
Helping her is a good idea. She's anti ocp, which is what Bertha was too (cch from robocop 3). In the ending where Samantha becomes a talk show host, she does, so by allowing ocp to destroy her credibility and recant all the dirt she found on ocp.
@@VideoGameSophistry I wouldn't call that a bad ending. More along the lines of a Comedic ending. Bad endings change the course of the surroundings or such. Maybe a timeline shift, or other characters die or get misplaced. Your video was ehhhhh but it was an interesting watch to say the least.
@@kevynhansyn2902 Pickles died as a thief and one hopped on nuke to the point where he loses to a snake. That means he never changed his ways and the cop who gave him a second change efforts were in vain. The cop's son also loses the next man in his life to be a role model after dad is gone. :(
I raged so hard at this boss battle because this is total bullshit so i deleted the game but the whole game was absolutely awesome but this fight was so fucking bad
@@CT_Phipps I did it only using my main gun and throwing bikes/gas tanks on it. Dash away from missiles, walk away when he charges. Also, pick up all ''health devices/pack'' during the fight. Of course, radiation sign is where u need to shoot, always use slow motion to get the max out of it. Note that my armor skill was 3/4 completed, shooting half done, and unlocked all my combat skills to ''level 2'' or more.
People paid $100 for MK1 and are now being charged $12 for seasonal fatalities. Save your harshest criticism for cynical cash grabs (corpo shit) and support smaller developers.
I would have paid 100$ and still be happy with it. You clearly didn't grew up in the 80's, this game is every 80's & older kids who are Robocop fan's dream . SOLID 8.5 out of 10.
