This might not be the best game, but it looks like it has a lot of heart and love for the source material. Sometimes that can be a great thing and make something amazing. It worked well for Terminator Resistance who also made this game.
Won't get a full Game Of The Year nom, but Action Game? Definitely looks possible based on this. Feeling like RoboCop might not be as fun/robust as feeling like Spider-Man, but it looks like they nailed it.
they probably know only an older audience will play it, thus making its possible marketing and budget on the low end. Though it is possible they also purposly deaged some mechanics in order for the older audience to be able to play it if they don't play a lot of games or used to play the older ones.
This is so cool! Having seen the Robocop movies from the 80s and 90s this game looks legit and it is true to the nature of the movies. The iconic soundtrack is nostalgic as well.
It's crazy How respectful of the source material it's trully a robocop's simulator they trully go into details the story doen't seem superficial. They did an amazing job it's their best game they come from far with rambo xD.
14:04 is a fantastic little nod to fans. You see Alex Murphy's face in the reflection of the television screen after the broadcast is finished, even though you're seeing the broadcast from the perspective of RoboCop.
Last Gen animations, poor voice acting, and overall crappy production value... Robo Cop got better treatment in the Mortal Kombat video game so idk what you're talking about...
@@adamthompson9785Not everything has be mind-bowing and next gen. A game can have a modest budget, old school look to it and still entertain royalie. The devs are passionate and you can see how much care went into this game.
This is actually an open world game, the full demo is like an hour and thirty minutes, with like three side quest and a few tiny quest where you distribute tickets
This 23 Gameplay Video looks way better and improved than the first 23 Minute Gameplay Video. Visual and Graphics looks more clean and better. I'm glad Peter Weller is voicing Robocop again and I'm also glad the Developer put the Original Robocop Theme in the game too.
I'm old enough to remember being at the movie's and seeing the preview/trailer for robocop and was too excited. The game developer's really worked hard to give the game that 80's vibe and nostalgic feel to it.
My first sleepover was with my best friend Tim in North Carolina in 1991 and his mom took us to the video store and we rented Robocop. We stayed up all night watching it over and over. Can’t wait to play this.
The game feels so great with distinct locations as well Just need to see if the gameplay will take advantage of all the innovations made in the combat genre or will it have a static design to its combat system
There should be a lot more going on in his HUD if this is a first-person shooter. He can ID targets by facial scan and use thermal imaging. Maybe these elements exist in the rest of the game?
may as well have been a rail shooter. it's a bad execution of what the game could have been. They should have also made it 3rd person. bad move making it an fps.
This feels very much like Terminator: Resistance. A little clunky and lacking the sheen of bigger games but you can clearly tell the team that developed it really cared about putting it together and staying faithful to the franchise. Definitely tempted to pick this up.
Music in movies need more love like the actor that does it. Some movies you just get the epic feel the second you hear that old sound come back. Brings you right back to that time. But if you watch this with no sound no feels what's so ever!
Seems very true to the movies. But this might be a little bit too generic on mouse & keyboard. Would love to see this in VR, slow movement, hilarious physics and the epic soundtrack could make a lot of sense there
Wish it wasn't just first person... I'm sure the budget didn't allow for it, but if you could actually see Robocop in action (like the Batman games) it would be absolutely badass.
Since this is by the same people who made that Terminator game, hopefully that means there will be a Robocop Vs The Terminator game somewhere down the line.
Looks to me like a great "shooting gallery" type of game. The gameplay feels more like an on-rails turret sequence except you are the rails and turret, in a way that just fits the Robocop brand like a glove. Rather than dodging damage you have to dish it out quicker than you receive it, so you really gotta get your aim to Robocop level. Honestly, looks really dope.
So basically Robo Cop is Special Needs and the woman cop who told him to walk through the fire, is his Care Taker.... listen to how he talks and how she walks him through everything or encourages him.....
Had mine preordered for months. Can't wait for release. I'm a lifetime fan. I'm currently reading the novelisation of the first movie by Ed Naha. Its great. Lots of cool differences from the movie, as it was written before the movie was made. Let's you get to know Murphy more too.
When Robocop's theme kicks in, the action is done. It should start a little sooner, like during the cut scene. The cut scenes need more filmic direction, closeups, reaction shots, insert shots of hands doing things, like when Louis uses her gum on the wiring. Plus stingers in the music for dramatic impact. The game looks great. The presentation needs more polish. With more attention to detail this could be the game that defines this generation of consoles. The one everyone will be talking about.
Right no offense to how you spend your money but when Debs go out of their way to give you a gem like this you support it. Because at the end of the day they're taking the larger risk there's been plenty of games that people play and spend DLC money and things like that all the time if you want things to be better you got to know how to and when to spend the money. Me personally I'm buying Alex Murphy edition
Demoliton Man with Stallone and Snipes. Bad Boys & Beverly Hills Cop. A cool concept would be combining New Jack City, Juice, Boyz In The Hood, Menace 2 Society Characters into one single game. Maybe play as Police to take them down or as the character. Speaking of Wesley Snipes, Passenger 57 is a lesser known classic but playing as Snipes as a officer that can do martial arts as well, and the inclusion of a plane mission would be dope lol. Conair is another one. Just maybe these aren't as popular so the studio would have to take a risk
