Excellent video my robot RU-vidr friend 🤗. I got to say the Vibrating Mopping system seems to be working well. Hopefully in the next version the mopping system can lift up higher so it can transition over medium and high profile carpet. You are almost at 1K subs 😆
Ty so much!! I do hope they make a higher version or maybe even just a dedicated mop. I have never been a huge fan on all in one machines. A vacuum that is not a wet-dry vac should never suck up moisture. I'll be at 1k in 30 days!
@@jamie.andrews Yes I believe it, 30k in 30 days of Buttercups aka Natalie Cat 🐈 playing with your cats will instantly boost your channel as the Most cute Robot Vacuum Channel out there!!!!
That's a good mopping result! I can see the S7 removing all the stains after the first pass which has never happened with other robot vacuums I have tested.
The key is the new deep cleaning mode. I did not preload these stain, but on a re cleaning I always pretreatment tough stain with Bono floor cleaner. Thanks!
I’ve been researching for days trying to make the right decision on which robot vacuum to go with. I currently have the roborock s5 but have issues with it sometimes coming off the doc to clean, making one circle then redocking saying cleaning complete. It’s also gone over puppy poop twice. I rarely used the mopping function because of how much it required to set that up. Anyway, you sold me when you showed how the s7 will mop in a different direction for the second go around! That’s ingenious and will be perfect for our rigid core flooring with real wood like grooves in it. Thanks for such a thorough review!
Thank you for the video. I was considering buying the older model to save $, but after watching this and other reviews, I think the extra cost for the newer model is worth it.
@@jamie.andrews the s7 is looking tasty yanno, but I’m gonna wait till later on in the year because maybe dream, Samsung or rr will release an amazing one for cheaper yanno? Samsung will shake up the market because they can afford to dominate at a low cost
Thank you for the video and special thanks to show that S6 max v can vet the carpet that I have a lot in my house. Still confused, does S7 vacuum and mop the floor at the same time? Is it better to buy the vacuum and moping robot separately? My floor is pretty much clean, except maybe kitchen. Can we program different mopping option for different rooms ( for example for kitchen is max but for another rooms are just regular)? Thank you 😊
Thanks for watching! The S7 can both mop & vacuum at the same time. I prefer one robot that does both and the S7 does both very well. You can set customized cleanings for each room with different vacuum and water levels.
How big of an obstacle can it traverse? I have a small step by each door. But I haven’t found the information anywhere if it can drive over it. Thank for a great video.
Thanks for watching! It varies per model. See this support.roborock.com/hc/en-us/articles/900002080603-What-is-the-maximum-height-of-a-threshold-that-Roborock-can-pass-over-
@@jamie.andrews i mean, which set up in the roborock app would you recommend for a good mopping and cleaning ? There are 3 parameters in the app to play on: vacuum power, scrub intensity and mop route
I reccomend max for all. Deep cleaning and Max water level. Sometimes I will lower the water level manually when I am about 15 minutes into mopping to keep the floor from being too wet.
You think mopping really i usefull? I've got old random roomba with no navigation and low power. I am thinking about either getting I7 or maybe roborock s7 since it also has supposedly good mopping. Any advice? maybe other model? Shame s7 don't have that cool camera from s6 max
I think the vacuum is more useful than mopping. With that said the S7 is one of the best mops out there and one of the best vacuums as well. If you don't need a mopping robot get the S4 Max.
The S7 does not have the obstacle avoidance feature like the S6 MaxV has. If this is something you want to check out I have a specific video on the S6 MaxV with obstacle avoidance. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Vt5iF2lJCDc.html Have a nice day!
How is the water from the tank fed to the mopping pad on the S7? I see a little port next to the vibrating arm on the bottom of the S7, but doesn't the mopping plate cover it when installed?
Hi Jamie, good night. I saw that you have tile floors and I would like to ask a question. I went to use the mop function with my roborock s7 and I noticed in some places, without any obstacle, it slows down, it looks like it's stuck on something, then the mop lifts and it continues, then it goes down by itself again. Have you noticed anything similar with yours? I had another robot and I never noticed it. I found it very strange
Yes sometimes it misidentified parts of the tile as carpet. You can fix it in the app by selecting the area it detected as carpet and tell it to ignore that area.
@@jamie.andrewsno carpet recognition appears in the app. Even so, I put it to ignore. I made a video to show how it looks when using the mop function. If you can watch and give me feedback I would be very grateful. ru-vid.comsVRk4R9eEAI?feature=share
Hi I have bought Roborock S7 +. But after two weeks of use, I sent it back because I thought the mopping was lousy. I understand that you have to wet the mop before starting the robot vacuum cleaner. but after half the house, the mop has been wiped off and the robot vacuum cleaner mops a maximum of 7 to 10 cm wide on the floor. the difference between s6v max and s7, is that the water drainage on the s6v max in two places on the mop on each side. which means that the entire width of the mop is constantly wet. while s7 has a single drain in the middle which is not enough to bleed the whole mop, resulting in it mops max 7 to 10 cm max. I would need your opinion on this .. or if I'm doing something wrong
Hey Mina, yes you are correct and it is imo a flaw of the S7. I always prewet my pads and my house is small so it is not as big of a deal for me, but if someone has a large home it will not be very effective. I talked about this flaw in my recent review video here. I am not aware that anyone else has talked about this in reviews. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dv6P1skADLo.html
