See how the wire-free Ambrogio L60 Elite S+ robot lawn mower, for small yards, chops dry leaves while mowing. L60 Elite S+ uses patented humidity sensors and is charged manually by the homeowner. If you prefer automatic charging the Ambrogio Twenty ZR also uses patented humidity sensors but has an easy-to-install guide wire for navigation back to its base.

Nice. I think this would work for my yard. I wondering how this compares to the Twnenty ZR.

Twenty ZR can be used in the automatic mode or the manual mode. Both L60 and Twenty ZR are perimeter wire-free, except Twenty ZR has an optional guide wire so it can find the base automatically. Twenty ZR's blade can be set a little higher, L60's max height is 2"/5cm. L60 uses humidity sensors to detect grass. Twenty ZR uses radar. The radar has an advantage because it is touchless. It can detect objects perpendicular to the ground that are at least 4" tall. Both come with the star blade that is good on leaves. L60 is better on slopes due to being 4WD. Both of these robots - it is very important to mow the grass down very low if it is extra dense before using the robot. Dense, tall grass can lift the robot up so that the wheels do not touch the ground. The robot won't have traction and can't move in that condition. Once the grass is mowed low, run the robot often enough so that this traction issue is not a problem. With Twenty ZR on extra dense grass it is sometimes necessary to lower the blade to keep the grass from lifting the robot up. There is no issue on typical grass. Do not use these robots on St Augustine grass, they won't work.

@@paradisebots Thank you. I am in Hawaii. I have El Toro Zoysia grass. Our lots here in Hawaii are smaller about 7000 square ft with the house. We have fairly simple rectangle yards. No tree debris. I do have a ground mounted solar array that I weed and mow under. That’s the only obstacle in the yard. Back yard is fence in and front yard are separated by concrete driveways and side walks. I would need to carry a robot to the front yard because I have gravel walk ways and fence separating the front from back. I am debating perimeter vs no perimeter. I currently use a yard man who cuts with a weed eater. I pay $60 a cut and cut twice a month. Durability and ability to self service are important to me especially since I am in Hawaii. I am watching all the videos I can and reading some of your post on Redit. 😎
