For those who think the instructions are too fast and those who don’t like the music. Simply MUTE & PAUSE. Take all the time you need. I mean wow! The things to complain about when troubleshooting.
@@nokel2 hahahaha! indeed. thanks for that. hmmm… I probably could have just said “MUTE & PAUSE people. MUTE & PAUSE.” yes. that would have been better.
Thank you for this! I used a wetted melamine sponge to clean the contacts on the charging base and the Roomba, then dried them with a clean microfiber cloth, and my Rooma's now charging again!
Roomba 614. Cleaned the contact, still not charging. green light stays lit for a min then goes out. took it apart. cleaned dust with water soap and toothbrush, like new. the battery is at 0 volts... I believe the battery may need replacement.. ANOTHER question..... The cleaning box has a motor and 2 brushes. There is a 1/8 inch red sticker. Under this sticker there is a plastic "wire' or plastic "needle", flexible, with a small anchor. The anchor remains in the socket under the red sticker, and the plastic "needle" follows a channel in the pulley on the motor. The motor appears to be freely swinging in its socket along its rotor-axle. As the motor turns left-right, the pulley moves. There is a small hole at the end of the pulley channel, where the plastic "needle" appears to enter. This element does not appear to be sold separately. I think I need a replacement of this "needle" How long is this "needle"? What is the purpose? I think I can use weed-eater string or fishing line, they come at different diameters. I can improvise. Any idea?
Worked like a charm, contacts looked clean and u unplugged and rebooted with no results until I clean the contacts on the base and robot and it worked! Grazies 👌
I am so tired of babysitting this $800 machine!!!! My house 700 sq ft (i have rooms blocked off I don't want it in) and it takes five hours to clean because it continues to go back to the charging unit. I've cleaned the charging contacts. I'm so SICK of spending a small fortune on these machines and they're nothing but crap that you have to buy all kinds of accessories for!!!!
The instructions are way too small!!! And they roll off the screen way too fast!!! Very unprofessional!!! Had my Roomba about 3 yrs now. Been a number of times it won't connect to app. Charging base is not easily connected! Not engineered well. And this instructional video is proof your company doesn't pay attention to the details!!
@@irobot Mine has already been replaced because it is a complete piece of garbage. This "new" one is no different. The app is worthless. The robot hasnt worked for a month. I spend HOURS on it running through every troubleshooting step to make it work. Uninstall app Reinstall app Do this Do that Yoir product is complete garbage and I will NEVER buy another and will GLADLY spend my time on every social media platform describing in detail what a piece of trash product this is
Oh, how I love our old Roomba! This new one which we’ve had for 6 months is pathetic. No information on its status. Trying to figure out why it won’t connect or start. White ring. Then red. Cleaned contacts. Rebooted. Sounds and lights that mean nothing. Charging light goes out after a few seconds. Is it charging? No idea. No hard copy manual. Need your phone to even operate it. No phone? Get the old vacuum out! And why does it even start a job when the battery is too low?? At least the old one worked all the time, it’s bin was bigger. And it worked when you wanted it to!
