Rocco Pelosi (GTA IV and GTA V) 

While on one end Rocco's death did seem underwhelming, I could not help but think that might have been the point; Rocco kept pushing the buttons of some people because for a while at least, he felt he could do so without punishment. Even force the likes of Luis and Tony to do some rather screwed up things, but that can only take you so far, and you can only push some people so far until they try to fight back. Rocco pushed things and paid the price in which he had to leave LC. Then years later, he just happens to piss off Michael De Santa/Tonley. One would think he'd be smart enough to back off but then again he had no idea who Michael was. He'd find out too late in perhaps the most important part of his life that Michael was someone you don't cross. For Rocco, it was a lesson he learned too late to make use of. For Michael, Rocco was just one obstacle to remove. Rocco may have had connections that gave him some protection but I suspect him leaving LC was a result of that protection finally running out and/or him leaving simply to avoid Luis' wrath. But far as can be shown, he clearly did not have any real protection against Michael. It seemed anti-climatic yet that might have been the point; he was a bump in the road that finally got flattened. Then again, maybe I'm just rambling stupid stuff.

it feel's good to see rocco dying, i feel that the gta iv history was uncompleted because he didn't died. it is funny to see how Luis kills Niko's antagonist Ray Bulgarin, Niko kills Johnny's antagonist Ray Boccino, and Michael De Santa kills Rocco Pelosi in GTA V.

People complain that he's too easy to kill in GTA V. The point Rockstar made with killing him is that, unlike Luis' situation, Michael wasn't under pressure by the Ancelottis. Since we were playing from Michael's perspective, he was just another guy in his way. You can say the same about how Trevor killed Terry and Johnny K.

Rocco’s death was very disappointing in GTA V. In GTA TBOGT, he appeared as a powerful and an untouchable made man, but in GTA V, he dies like he’s just another generic goon.

Just imagine if he'd been beating up an old lady and it was Trevor to the rescue instead of Michael...

Rocco's appearance in GTA V is the only reference to Luis Lopez that we got for him in GTA V.

I like to imagine that when Luis found out about Rocco's death, he was probably laughing his ass off. I love how some of TBOGT was designed to carry over to GTA V, and I love the concept of a major antagonist surviving the events of one game then you meeting them older in the next one as a new protagonist and taking them out, I hope we see it again in GTA VI, with a villain possibly carrying over to VII or even Friedlander carrying over to VI since he canonically survives.

If anybody deserved to kill Rocco, it was Luis. Nevertheless, it was great killing him as Michael... I gotta admit though, I liked him better in TBoGT, in V he was just a dumb Jersey Shore guido.

So, I never played Episodes from Liberty City before I played GTA 5, so when I killed Rocco, it didn't have any impact on me, but now, after playing TBoGT, killing that prick is so much more meaningful.

If he's a made man in the Ancelotti crime family, and his death was all over the news then why doesn't the Ancelotti boss try to kill Michael? Isn't that a perk when you become "made"? Having anyone who kills you dead? Or is that perk removed when going into hiding?

Good job. I actually really like these series, it really lets know these chracters in depth and how they changed (like this one).Its kind of sad too that Rocco was wearing the same outfit for 5 years and only changed his t-shirt to a v-neck and added a gold chain.

I seriously doubt that Rocco was a made guy at 28 (in 2008) and/or at the time of his death at 33 (in 2013) because in the Mob, there are several golden rules for a wiseguy to be made, first you have to be 100% Italian, second, you have to be in the life (mafia way of life) for a REALLY long time, third; you have to prove yourself to be a good earner (make the Mob a LOT of money) fourth; have somebody already made sponsor you to be made (which in this case Rocco would not have needed the approval and/or shade of The Old Man Ancelotti), In conclusion, he WAS NOT a made Guy, that's why Michael from GTA V did not face retaliation for killing Rocco, (he probably even did the Mob a Favor since some wiseguys are seen as a Liability rather than an asset).

It makes me quite strange that in GTA 5 he never says jokes and insults about various minorities, it almost seems that Rocco has sweetened himself over the years x)

I always thought Rocco's death was scripted! My first gta v play through his car took 1000 bullets, then one to the tire, tire popped sent it spinning into a guard rail, sent the passenger flying out the window and died then I had to put a cap in Rocco as he hobbled away
