I really like the way Niko shows respect towards Gravelli. Niko and Gravelli cutscenes are one of the best of the games

I think Gravelli symbolizes the end of GTAs gangster era.

I love how Niko kills Pegorino in the revenge ending and tells him that he knows some of the old commission guys and they think he is a joke, a joke!

I like how Niko kinda even slightly becomes friends with the guard

I love how in this game it shows how Organized Crime and the Government and CIA work hand in hand with each other, in such a smart and subtle way

It makes me sad that you only do three missions for this guy.

People don’t realize it but gravelli was the most important character of the whole game. He single handedly got niko what he was looking for all along. Really disappointing he didn’t play a bigger part in the story or even the GAMBETTI family as a whole. The gambinos in real life are the most powerful mob family in NY and always have been. Bring back LIBERTY CITY rockstar we need it imagine how amazing nyc would be in a new gta

RIP Jon Gravelli 1919-2008. The powerful godfather of Italian most powerful mafia in Liberty city. He headed his family and controlled Liberty city from 1957-2008 until he peacefully died in the hospital.

When you work for Gravelli you feel like you've ascended to a whole new level of operating, leagues above everyone else. It's incredible, really.

I think Gravelli came to like Niko because of how honest he is, eg: the bleeding the city dry line. Which may be why he also hated the Pegorino's because they were massive ass-kissers

I liked the part (in second mission) where John's guard didn't let Niko in, but then Gravelli said "Ahhhh, Niko. Good to see you.".

When I first heard he died peacefully in his sleep I couldn't help but smile. He wasn't a good person, but in the end he was doing his best to avoid things getting worse and I'm glad he went out quietly without suffering.

When you compare and contrast Niko's first introduction to Pegorino and Gravelli, you can easily see why Niko has respect for the latter, but not the former. Pegorino tries to make an impression on Niko with the tough guy routine, and talks in circles, thinking he can play mind games, which obviously does not work on Niko. In contrast, Gravelli understood Niko was being sarcastic with his "bleed the city dry" remark, and unlike Pegorino, he does not beat round to bush to convince Niko to work for him. He knows Niko's capabilities, and his offer was straightforward: work for him (and by extension. the IAA via the ULP Agent), in exchange, the IAA will get the cops off Niko's back, as well as locate Darko Brevic. Between how these two mob bosses present themselves, it's not a hard choice to decide who to work with.

Think one of the reasons Niko likes Gravelli is because the guy isn't a massive hypocrite even though he is one of the most powerful men in liberty city. Unlike everyone else he works for.
