This week I spent a few days in the office so as happy to get back in the machine. I scraped the road from the house we demolished last week. I was then back in the Hyundai for some rock breaking and ditching!
In the words of Colonel Klink. Veeeeeeeeeeeeery interesting. Amy, it's always a joy, for this old man to watch a truly skilled worker, do his or her thing. I can see you got generational knowledge, of what you do, and you're great at explaining the hows, and whys of it all. As a retired driver of an 18 wheeler, the opening of that driveway can never be big enough. But you're close! lol! Thanks for sharing yours, and that silly Frenchy's week.
Hi Amy, A great video as always. I'd think your tip & tricks would be very much appreciated by those people starting out in the digger world or even the more experienced. As they say every days a school day 👍 Happy digging 😊 Ps, no need to have Mum guilt, your family is lucky to have such a great Mum & role model ❤
Another great video amy! Im with you on the pecker side of things, i find it mind numbing, noisy and shakes the hell out the machine. But you cant avoid it sometimes .
Hi Amy thanks for sharing another awesome video. You looked really thrilled about being in the office, you do a great job of explaining what you are doing thank you. Was Dipper getting annoyed with the breaker?,he's so funny. Why is it so satisfying when you take the last bit out and the water flows away?.Thank you again for taking the time to make the videos for us please take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Another informative video, really glad they are going to re use the stone that was used in the old house, it will when cleaned look really good. You could start a new line, Digger Girl cleaning kit for diggers and give one to your dad as a present on his birthday. 😂🤣👍
Again, such a wonderful video, I mean it’s good to start with a bit of land, but also to keep things tidy. Big thing is I get to see you going into action but yes who knows what awaits. Hope your kids are having a great time. And also I love diggin and lift heavy cranes.
Great video as usual. The explanation along the way while you're working makes it more interesting in my opinion. I use a small 360 on rare occasions so it's good to hear from an experienced operator like yourself. Tidy job as usual. Thanks for sharing your week with us. Roll on episode 56
Brilliant video Amy great that you showed how to but a braker on it is good you take a bit of time to show how its done always good to see dipper and you do a perfect job for your customers 😊😊
ROCK-BREAKING!! ..... It's WHY! they used to give the job to Convicts 😂😂 ..... I remember going for a start one day ... Foreman put me on the Compressor & 'Hand-Held Drill' to break up a Dairy Farm SLAB!! ... My hands/wrists went NUMB by 12 O'clock ... That's when I walked off! ... Never to be seen again 👍🤠
Another great video and I must agree with you hammer work is the worst but has to be done and nice ditching at the end good job 👌👌 roll on next week. Dipper is off his head lol
Opening a road back out to its original width makes good sense to me. I have to do it every year or 2 with my back (north side) path to my house. 11:00 - Perfect demonstration of why some people hate running a pecker. Now try imaging doing that to open up a hole 60 feet long by 20 wide by 6 deep, in Lewisian Gneiss!! Red vs white diesel. ISTR you used to be allowed to run plant on red diesel but Westminster changed the law on that a few years back, so older plant has red-stained hoses.
Loved the video . In answer to your question ,please do continue educating those of us who have never even sat in a digger. Oh and thanks for explaining what a "floaty" road is 😊. Do you ever have problems getting paid ? x
All good stuff there Amy 👍, though it still grinds my gears having to use white diesel in construction plant as all it is doing is pushing up the cost to the customer in the end.
Amy you need to get yourself one of those battery powered grease guns, once you try one you’ll never go back to manual ones. Another great video looking forward to next Sunday already. ATB fur noo
Yea I think maybe I do! Ahh I’m so gutted there’s nothing going to be up next Sunday. The job I’m on I can’t film 😢 I’ll make it up the following week😊
There's no connection between being a charming Scotish woman and being a skilled operator but here we are. Your dog is a good choice for company; maybe someone could print a little hardhat for him 😀
Great video, the great thing about diggers is you start with a nice bit of land, you the ruin it by digging it up then you can put it back like nothing happened. Lucky your not doing that with a shovel😂
@the_digger_girl what would be great is if you could go back in a year on the jobs you've done and show the before and after videos, they would make great watching.
HI AMY SUPER MOM, GREAT CONTENT AS ALWAYS, NO PLAITS TODAY 😂LET THE HAIR HANG LOOSE! I MUST ADMIT I HAVE BROKEN BREAKER PINS LITERALLY BY HAMMERING FOR LONG PERIODS THEN PLACING IN ROCK POOL AND BREAKS ACROSS WERE THE GREASE HOLE IS! BUT THAT WAS MY DADS EXCAVATOR SO NOW ITS MY OWN EXCAVATORS I LEARNED FAST, WET SOIL ON VERG WORK IS A PAIN! YOU CAN ONLY PAT IT ! PROBABLY SAID BEFORE BUT IF MY DAUGHTER GROWS UP WITH THE SAME WORK ATTITUDE I WILL BE VERY HAPPY, blessings to you Amy and your family
Hi I know you do good videos and you're good with your digger. Can we have you do a bottle challenge on the digger? And see how smooth your controls are with you driving one. If that's impossible that be amazing and keep up the good content
Hi Amy I work fix excavator hammers so with the hammer what you call a chisel the resin that it wasn’t braking the rock 🪨 properly is because you’re chisel bit needs to be replaced
The worst attchment ive came across is a tilt bucket on a 5t cat with those flush connector style buttons not like say common ones..i try to have tilt pin vertical so no pressure on cylinder then plug into each other so the cylinder cycles.. or its hard, others like to hit it like other style but they burr..
Good call with the commentary that'd be helpful for people starting out.. used to hate working on a breaker so boring and ruff on the bod being bounced about for 10hrs
Having to change over to white diesel has made getting all clearing work or just buying stone so much more expensive. Even if your doing agricultural work the government expects you to clean the tank between red and white diesel or run a separate tank for each, and the time/hassle it would add makes it not worth doing
That must work out expensive having to run on white diesel!, i don't know who comes up with these stupid decisions, always trying to get more tax out of everyone!
