So, part two of day one got interesting fast... We were tired, trying and failing to find a suitable camp and then we were surprised by this little gem of an obstacle... Music by www.andrewapplepie.com/
Good to see you test the platform out a bit more. I would suggest some truck rock sliders before its too late, if you plan on doing similar obstacles. RAM interiors make rock crawling feel too comfortable and easy. Before you know it, you will be touching sitting the truck on the rock sliders to pivot. Maybe that's just me. . .haha
I’m a Jeep guy, but I gotta say, that’s a beautiful truck. It not only looks good, but I saw it climb in Kevin’s video. Impressive! Your truck is awesome.
Pretty sure that valley is what my dad and I overlooked when we stopped in the swell for camp this summer. What an incredible place… The new truck is making tech look easy!
I have almost the identical twin of your truck except I didn't get the snorkel but did get the rap-a-round front bumper. I just put the Alu-Cab canopy camper on mine. The XL and Alu-Cab make a great combo. I plan to be all over the state of Nevada next spring. I will keep an eye out for you brother! PS, I want to see you get that spare tire down and change it on one of these videos!😅
Pro tip on off-roading Rams.. get a reusable filter... take out after trail riding and use the stock one while it dries... will save you in the long run.. Rams seem to kick up a LOT of dust and the filters get dirty quick😊
Jason, nice work. To be clear, there’s no front locker nor disconnecting sway bar on the the AEV right. It took that wall and the rest like it did. The added width didn’t seem to be a hindrance at all. How do you like the Diesel?
Hey, how is the road noise on road trips with the prospector? I'm thinking about getting one...but a road trip on 40's has me hesitant :) I'm confident in it's off road ability, but would also use it for the occasional road trip. thanks!
"Boy, I see you been drawring penus on the side of the truck, and I know we has some pinstripes from the brush but you take that rubbin' compound and I better not see anymore penus on the rig."
Hey Jason I started watching the channel when you had the 4-runner, so couple questions. First one is if you were going to replace an engine in a 4-runner which model would you chose? Second question, why did 4-runner stop making the taller version like the gen 3, with the nice amount of headroom? There are no other SUVs out there for off-roading with nice headroom except Range Rover, and they cost a small fortune. The car companies are missing the boat if you ask me. Nice job with the channel btw I enjoy watching the videos.
great video, and definitely an amazing truck! in a lesser vehicle that would have been a struggle. Also, your video is looking even better than ever, and I am sure much of the reason is your increasing knowledge of how to make video. Do you mind if I ask what you are using to film with in this video?
In my humble opinion the white truck to me with the classic look was just as beautiful since the old look gave it character although this one is just as cool I can’t wait to build my own aev but I prefer the classic look and going to get a custom bed rack from nuthouse industry I like some of their builds Also fellow Floridian.
Look at Lifestyle Overland's video from last night, he's with Kevin from LSO in Colorado some months later than in this, and has a rig over the bed. I think he relocated the spare, don't know where.
For the first second of the video I was like oh man his dad‘s gonna be so mad when he finds out the kids took off in the truck and then I was like oh OK lol
@@SwellRunner Looks great, I actually have the same camera. Curious if you are post stabilizing with catalyst browse or if you just use it raw. Love the way you film
Do you have the dual motor air compressor under your hood install like you did on your forerunner if so plan on doing a little video or some pictures or something so I can get an idea appreciate it
I’ve been meaning to ask for a couple years of watching your channel, but keep hesitating because this is a personal question. I don’t know if you already answered this question in the video that I have missed, but did you by chance suffer a neck injury? I have a spinal injury in my neck and move similar to you when trying to turn and look around. I would love to be able to get out and adventure like you and so many others, but it’s just not in the cards. Anyways, sorry if this is too personal question, but I just wanted to ask. 🇨🇦
@Jason Koertge Therein lies the problem with the AMP steps. On my Power Wagon sporting 37s, i just got used to stepping up to the Maple Offroad sliders and using the hand grab. And thus, my family had to get used to it, as well.
I can’t speak to the editing of videos I’ve never done any of it. However, I do enjoy/appreciate the end result. I’m sure you’re a busy man, you half to be raising teens is always a challenge. I raised three myself. You must have a demanding, well paying job to afford an Ram Overland XL so I get it. Good on ya! 👍 I was just curious. I definitely dig the rig and its awesome you’re enjoying it with your youngans.
Where I live in Pennsylvania you can buy a really decent house for about $150,000 I'll be damn if I would pay close that for a truck I would rather buy another house and rent it out in make money then lose money
@@SwellRunner I have a black F150 company truck. My 4 littles are always doing it since we live on a farm, one took a rock and drew circles on the passenger door. You rejuvenated my dream for an XL Long Box
