Great interview with Steve "Luke" Lukather. I have caught him live in LA and OC multiple times and have met him on numerous occasions. Luke is the real deal, I can't say enough about what a down to earth / cool cat he is. Luke is a Rock, blues and Jazz guitar legend flat out. His playing blew my mind years ago (sitting about 10 feet away) at the Baked Potato. I can't wait to catch another amazing performance.
Every musician, actuallly every human being should watch this interview. The man is amazing and completely honest. And Steve Rosen knows how to do his job ! What a pleasure to watch and listen...this interview is a gift ! THANKS !
just heard about mike pocaro , one of the greatest bass players of all time , my heart goes out to all band members friends and family ..... we won,t stop loving you . rip
his bio reads the same...totally consistent in his stories to his written word. his personality is his virtue...emotionally very honest man...in the moment...heart on sleeve...this man is legend and if you took 100 artists Steve is the affinity of them all...his sessions literally are legend as are Jeff Porcaro and David Paich --
Mic is live, guitar is grounded. Yep, been there, done that. "Oh, apparently my face is vibrating very fast and it HURTS!" Ever since then I've used a wireless, just so some crappy nightclub's bad wiring won't kill me. Steve is the man :O)
Jeff and Mike not be with us physically. But their spirit will live on through Steve Porcaro, Luke, David Paich and Joseph Williams. If y'all get a chance check out Luke's son Trevor here on RU-vid. Trevor and Mike Porcaro's son Sam carry on the Lukather/Porcaro legacy through their group.
