I too have the 22 tcm/9mm combo single stack 1911 and the Pro Match 40 sw pistol, both came with only 1 magazine like all other RIA pistols. Outstanding accuracy on both pistols and slides as smooth as glass.

Yep. :) 125gr .357 magnum, 7.62x25 Tokarev, 10mm, 9x25mm Dillon, .357 Sig, and .22 magnum out of a handgun always get a few people doing a walk by to peep a look at what makes those booms and light shows. 😸😸😸 .357 and 10mm are the rough "most powerful cartridges you can shoot" examples because of my local indoor range's backstop limitation. Otherwise, throw .44 magnum, .454 Casull, .460 S&W, .500 S&W, and .50 AE into that list too. *BOOM* 💪😎

A 6" long slide model would be absolutely stellar for this caliber. :) It's fun to have a handheld 17 round flashbang grenade in your hand at the range, but I hate the idea of wasting power. I loved putting Stingers in my Walther P22. I knew though that it was a waste of powder. .22TCM probably shines in a PCC. It's pretty purpose built for it, eh? A full size 5.56x45 in a 10" AR is a waste and makes a bunch of noise. Chop that case down and put less powder in it, and you get a better ratio of barrel to charge. 💪😎 A smaller case is really what you need when drastically decreasing powder charge weight. You get more velocity consistency and better accuracy because of the more efficient burn and powder turbulence behavior. Even light 130 grain .38 Special gallery loads with 3 grains of Bullseye is a lot of space for a tiny charge. You actually get much better consistency and accuracy putting that 130 grain bullet into a .38 Short Colt case. :) The .38 Special HST is seated way deep in the case because of this issue, and because it gives a bit more "barrel" length for small lil' J frames due to the bullet accelerating the first bit within the case and chamber itself. Gotta love it. Your only other option for super reduced loads in big cases is good ol' Trail Boss, of course. Love that stuff too. Great video Justin. You shoot well with 1911s. RIA makes good firearms for a competitive price. Thanks again for the discount code. Those are always always always appreciated by all. :)

Short on funds, I bought a $150 22TCM conversion kit for my Glock 19 Gen4. Works flawlessly but runs 23 TCM R9 bullets which are slightly shorter with rounded bullets. 22TCM bullets are pointed and can not feed without using a cutter on the bullet tip then sanding the tip to round it off. That’s a lot of labor and unnecessary lead exposure. I just didn’t have an extra $550 to spend on a new gun which only comes with one magazine. That was almost 3 years ago and magazine for that gun are still impossible to find. Fortunately I bought a little over 1000 Pre-Covid rounds at $13-$17 /50 box before tax. It’s more than double these days

Actually easy to reload - bullets and cases (brass and nickel), Accurate TCM powder, Hornady (excellent) and Lee (okay) die sets, case gauge from Sheridan. Local PSA has 100 to a box factory at $38. Had the 22 TCM/ 9mm combo kit for the Glock 17, but sold it when I got this one. Favorite gun to take to the range.

With how impossible it has been to get a Tac Ultra FSHC 22tcm/9mm, I finally broke down and bought both a single stack and the 9mm double stack, changed and fitted the slides and now have a full slide Tac Ultra double stack 22tcm/9mm combo. Sucks they are so ridiculous to find anymore. Just know if anyone else does this, the fitment is hit or miss, and in my case required a lot of break in to get the slides to operate well on each pistol despite them being the same slide and barrels.

Have had one for two plus years and absolutely one of the funnest guns to shoot that always draws a crowd at the range. The RO's all know the sound of it and have shot it, grinning as much as I am. I call it my giggle gun cause I can't stop laughing when shooting it. However, some issues, my would often fte when new both 22tcm and 9 mm set ups. Cases had to be knocked out with a cleaning rod. RIA says to shoot 500 rounds to break it in prior to return for problems. I did fire that many and continued to have fte jammed cases. Very frustrating. Sent it back under warranty repair now shoots great. GF so liked after much searching finally located one on line hers worked great out of the box for 6 months over 700 rounds before extractor broke, replaced with new extractor from RIA and know the gun is having the fte jammed case issue. That one is going back for work. Gun is awesome when working. And ammo readily available online for around 9mm price. Goes to the range with me every time I go.

I'm not a fan of oddballs and wildcat rounds. But 22tcm and 5.7 need more offerings made for it to be shot in. 5.7 is somewhat known but most people have slept on 22tcm.

Great video JO. Just subbed your other channel. I have a RIA M1911 A2 FS-TACT . MM that has a barrel and recoil spring for .22 TCM and 9mm 9x19. It has all the whistles and bells and is VERY accurate and has little recoil for either caliber because it is HEAVY. So much fun to shoot, (when I can find .22TCM ammo.

If Armscor sent the cartridge to SAAMI to get it spec'd, any manufacturer could produce it. As it is , Armscor has a virtual monopoly on the cartridge. CORRECTION...... Even at the height of the pandemic, I could get all the 22tcm/ 22tcm9r I wanted. I began buying it @ $18 for a box of fifty. Co-vid caused the price to jump to $20 for a box of fifty. When you consider that here in 2022 , 22WMR is $25 a box (when you can get it).....22tcm is still $20 a box and plentiful......... What's wrong with that?

I have the Govt Mdl 9mm/22TCM double stack. 5 things I wish - ammo availability, aluminum frames for both the Govt and Comm, a 6 inch variant, 17 round mag availability and more damn gun availability. I had to get mine used and that was years ago. You hardly ever see them for sale even on the web and most of them are used. If Ria would put out an aluminum framed, double stack Commander for carry, I bet it would sell like hotcakes if they could hold the price line. I'd love to have a 2011 but just can't/won't (cheap) pay $2000 or more. Maybe if I win the lottery.

"...my not so large hands..." I think this is the first time I've heard a guntuber not boast of having yuge hands. Frankly it always sounds contrived when people say that. All of my vital dimensions are right in the middle of "average" so I assume my hands are too. And being able to hold a P365 and G21 with equal ease has more to do with having opposable thumbs than "hand size".

@mannys9130
@mannys9130 2 года назад
Just as you won't be noticing the fireball much in a SD situation, the perp getting shot at won't either. FIBSA factor (Fuck I'm Being Shot At!) makes things like flash, recoil, and loudness totally irrelevant and not noticeable. You notice the painful cochleas and tinnitus later when you call 911 and can't hear the dispatcher talking on the other end of your cellphone. 🤣 EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

How does it compare to a5.7x28?
@mannys9130
@mannys9130 2 года назад
.22 TCM is slightly more powerful. The light 5.7 is faster but the TCM overall is a bit more powerful. They're comparable though, in all reality. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Close enough to behave similarly for the roles you would use it for. I'd rather have the TCM.
@zdub8438
@zdub8438 2 года назад
From a 5" barrel, .22tcm is running at 2120fps. A 5" 5.7 running 40 grain is only 1600 fps. TCM is way more powerful.
@argonzeit
@argonzeit 2 года назад
@@mannys9130 22 TCM is twice as powerful if you are looking at energy foot pounds. 5.7 Is around 200 even with their military rounds as well If I remember correctly while 22 TCM is hitting around 400. If you want to talk about penetration, 22 TCM would have the edge if you reloaded it with steel core 556/223 bullets. Otherwise the 5.7 does outperform it since 22 TCM is only available in hollow point. Also, 22 TCM is also priced at $20 per 50, at least looking online. I have a local gun store that also has it stocked for about $20 a box as well. Which, last I saw on 5.7, which was covid prices, was going for $50 to $80 a box. Hopefully it's gone down by now.
