Rock-Ola Regis Model 1495 (1961 Classic Jukebox) 

I prefer that you can see the records playing... that just makes it cooler.

This was the first jukebox I had ever seen. Late 1960s my sister and I or eating ice cream cones at the counter at this roadside cafe while our dad was fishing outside on the bank. The ice cream cones were huge and delicious. But I was so fascinated with the mechanics of this jukebox. I don't remember the song that was playing. I just remember the more general details.

That 1961 Rock-Ola 1495 "Regis 200" is a beautiful Jukebox, the "Juke Of Shrewsbury" did a great job in restoring that and made it look brand new, if he were here in California I would take all my Jukeboxes to him, I wish I had that. Rock-Ola only made 1,776 of those, I have the 1959 1475 "Tempo 200" in nice shape and only 1,680 of those were made. I also have the 1960 1485 "Tempo II" in nice shape, the same Jukebox they used in the show "Jukebox Jury" during the early 1960's.

WoW! Beautiful Jukebox!!! I really like the 3 tab set-up on the turntable even though I would have no use for an "intermix" machine, the 3 tabs are great because they let you see more of the original 45 labels than the standard tall middles used on the just-45 machines...wonder if you can retrofit an intermix turntable to work with a standard 45 machine? Or--modify one somehow to re-create the futuristic, low-profile, 3-tab center like your turntable!? Again--awesome machine!!!

A very similar RockOla went to auction at the same time as a 1961 Seeburg. The RockOla was way out of my price range, but I did get the Seeburg AY100...... and got it working again... Makes me happy.

I used to have a 120. Had it been a 200 select such as this one. I would have NEVER sold it.

Thank you for the upload ! I remember something like jukebox in your video in the donut shop but the record player/turntable was hidden . Also in the 1970's there was a "small"(about the dimensions of a small microwave oven but only about 8 inches deep) selector device at each diner or restaurant dining booth . i can't remember if it played just low enough for you and your friends at your table in the dining booth, or went to a central jukebox into speakers for the whole dinor . probably the latter . Anyone know of any videos of the two or three types i have described ?? doesn't have to be on youtube. i'd be very grateful for replies and/or links !!!
