The BEST part of this build is that you DO NOT NEED any MYTHICS Thorns lets get it! Build planner: mobalytics.gg/diablo-4/profile/cc3910a6-2ce7-4048-b28e-614ec80201b4/builds/95f854f8-270b-4a91-a741-2dc3d41ea280 Live everyday: www.twitch.tv/ulfhednar
@@UlfhednarTV if you watched your video at 2:00 fighting the boss your 3rd attack's aoe is smaller but when you jump at 2:40ish of the video your 3rd attack is twice bigger.. help figure it out. thanks!
@@adriann4 ohhh now I see it and honestly no idea, I popped an incense before that so it could be related but I have been scratching my head over this since the test server I had access to before release. Will dig more into this and it could also be just a visual
@@UlfhednarTV i followed your build step by step using the link you’ve provided in the video and that 3rd attacked got me head scratching as well . I couldn’t figure out what I mightve missed out. Hmmm let me know.
I've been using this build from the start. Still missing a few things and I'm only on torment 2 but it's really fun. I love playing something different. Tired of all the quill volley / dash builds. Keep up the good work. This build is really cool.
I had a similar build to this, but I also use the aspect that auto casts Payback from your basic skill😂 it was pretty neat. I don’t have Sepazontec to test it out, drops are abismal this season.
I was using QV, couldn’t find an Ebawaka and I really wanted to make a thorns build work. Came across this, built it and flew through Torment / Pit levels, literally 2 tapped Lilith, this build is fantastic, thank you!
Yeah there are plenty of options I would like to try. One of the is also crushing hand overpower setup and payback as well but I am afraid it doesnt cover enough AoE
Just finished your previous build with glyph leveling, do you consider it much better than previous one? (the one with tibault will and without wound drinker)? ;)
@@maciej1463 this one is better because like I mentioned in the first video playing 1 patch behind actual live patch had things not working as they should
thanks for the new update! one question... having the new glyph wouldn't it be better to have dodge chance in the pants and boots? possibly also in the tempers? it would be another significant increase in damage, what do you think?
ah ok perfect yes backlash... at this point you could add the aspect "because it increases the thorns up to 250% based on the amount of percentage of the dodge or parry".... what do you think?@@UlfhednarTV
@@UlfhednarTV ! I have completed the entire comparison you linked, I would like to point out that I don't have resistance to all the elements in my boots... but I would like to understand in t4 how do you get the resistances all at 70?... I did everything like you... .. anyway I hope you continue to update the build up to level 300
thank you for sharing this! i just got into Torment 2 and have been trying to make a thorns build work with limited success. have you tried this build in the dark citadel, is it any good there?
@@xzenfire I did play this before game released on review server and successfully completed dark citadel on torment IV. Its also up on my channel! Thanks for watching
Could you explain better how the increase in basic damage of Rock Splitter works (through temper) because as far as I understand, the only thing that matters about Rock Splitter is using it as a way to apply thorns, through its passive (accelerated rock splitter). Because of this, the base damage of the skill should not interfere in any way with the build, so much so that you only put one point in the skill, and did not put rank + in the pants, increasing the damage of the skill even more
Im still testing so im not sure about all that works. so far rock splitter is different then any other thorns application in the game. everything else works like you described it but rocksplitter DOES increase with alot of stuff. you asked about basic skill damage on equip and i havent tested that one yet myself, but multiplicative increases to basic attacks do work. so stuff like moonrise aspect and other multipliers do indeed buff rocksplitter thorns but not for example thorns coming from gorilla spirit hall or needleflare aspect. crit still doesnt work like with every other thorns application.
As I understand it Rock Splitter takes your thorns damage and applies it in its own attack through Accelerated. Now, because skill ranks don't increase the percentage of Accelerated, they don't really matter. But since the third attack adds your thorns damage to the actual skill, it is affected by increases in basic damage. Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong with this line of logic.
@@FloresNathaniel sounds logical but why doesnt it then work the same way with payback aspect which is basically worded the same way. maybe it is just a bug after all.
@@wendaguan no problem! This build has very high damage reduction just make sure to armor and resistance cap and also keep rock splittering even before engaging in fight to get barrier and other stuff procced
I just learned that Needleflare doesnt inherit bonuses or echoes the total damage of the trigger hit and always thought it double hits on top of that which is not the case so I slapped on Adaptability and its world of difference so I will change it in the planner
@@UlfhednarTV i meant overpower cryt glave not this one with dmg over time. I have great items (almost bis) but still dont have enough dmg to kill lilith
I have an idea for a barb build. Using a GA lucky hit to deal fire damage ugly bastard helm, tempering lucky hit to deal fire on any weapon that isnt unique, and seeing if magnum opus can scale that since your skills proc the lucky hit, use fists if fate for high lucky hit and just use the season 2 WW/Hota build to hit huge aoes. Maybe even rakanoths wake just for the fire themed build haha
@@MightyMouthDFT I actually tried this on PTR using old values (big numbers before stat squish) and it was extremely underwhelming sadly. Might give it a go again though
