Well done Kent, Derek and Darren. I've been following your videos for a while now. Really appreciate the updates. Thank you and we'll done guys... Kee up the good work.
Awe Larnies . Well done on home ground gentlemen. Darren carry a elastoplast tape and wrap around the rings on the finger. Even condoms to waterproof cellphones gents.
You Guys were on fire. You made my day.. I honestly needed this. Food for a tired sole. Kent the two ballies are one up on you. Just love what you are doing. Watched it twice now. So happy about the news on the dreaded jiggers. But unfortunately they are propably back at it while we are speaking. Thanks Kent. Great video.
Yes Xris, I need to catch up 🤣 good to be catching fish back home, shows how healthy that reef is. Yes they probably back at it, but we will continue bringing awareness and hopefully someone listens. Thanks Xris and take care
Cheers Vernon, ya we try to be relatable and I always said from the outset that this is what my Channel will be about. Reading comments like yours make me feel that I have achieved this. 🙏
Howzit Larnie PSJ jigging is really heartbreaking and frustrating. Bananas are only not allowed on a boat. Lovely rockcod Darren I like the way you say the fish look identical. Hahahah
🤣😂 was just 1cm smaller than mine! Ya I hope the authorities get a hold on the jigging issue, from our side we will keep educating wherever we can and do our bit 🤙 shot Larnie
Just knew this was going to be a top session👍 I fished Sunday and this morning but there wasn't even one good bronze bream or brusher bite.. Ohya that blue marlin rod is a classic its hard to find a new one nowdays💯
Ahh hard luck Zubair, well I need to catch these guys up now as well 🤣 happy for them. Yes I love this rod big time it’s actually my 2nd one. I lost my 1st and had to claim from insurance 🤭🤣 that’s a story for another day. Shot Larnie 🤙
Hello Kent. Nice one. While watching you build the first bait, I wondered how much effect the little float will have on a biggish bait like you had on. Can you maybe show us (in a rock pool) how well this really works to get an idea of the bait size to float size?
Howzit Mr Kent how u doing? Good to see you n url team back in action and with some top fish there..... Thanks again for the great info really appreciate it we need more fisher man like you that can spread the word abt fishing the proper way. Thanks Mr Kent. And wats this story abt bananas and fishing lol.
I’m editing as we speak 😉 thanks Thagaseelan. Video will be up by tomorrow. Would love to do more vids, weather been bad, fishing been bad but will keep em coming. Thanks for your support 🤙
Nicely done guys. An easier way to measure is draw 2 lines in the sand (front of fish and tail) and the measure the lines. First thing hit my mind was fish breyani ...
Top video, lovely grounds ...hopefully someday we meet up and fish those grounds ...love to visit with the family. Is the area safe to fish with the kids and family...
Hi Ek, sorry for late response, yes it is relatively safe but as you know we always have to be weary of our surroundings. It’s generally a quiet stretch of beach. Meet up 🤙
Kent, you need way more experience if you are going to wade, they could just be a rip that will take you away, so my word, be safe and learn and get a bit more experience larnie, you doing excellent work just be safe and keep up the good work
@@KentsFishingI have to say, I am a junior Angler competitive Angler, I am 13 years old but have a great knowledge about fishing, if we could we can fish together and I'll teach you how to wade as per different aspects on how to read the water, enjoy your fishing larnie, can't wait for the future vids
That’s awesome Shridhaan, I didn’t mention but I am quite a strong swimmer, did a lot of deep sea diving, did life guard training when I was younger and grew up swimming in the ocean. I understand Current’s, rips and can read the water pretty well. That being said, I always respect the ocean and am very weary of my surroundings. I was once knocked over by a wave when I did let my guard down but fortunately managed to swim out safely. Ever since then I am pretty careful. Thanks again for your concern and let’s teach others together 🤙
@@KentsFishing amazing Mr Kent You should go and try to wade where you could reach the back line meaning wade through a trough in which you have the ability to get on a solid structural Sandbank. Mr Kent, you need to get a momentum in your cast, that way you can cast further...
Personally I think the Penn looks better! The black & gold appeals to me. It is however heavier because of the components it’s made up of and the Saragosa I’m told is the rolls Royce of fishing reels. I havnt tried either yet but I’m leaning more towards the Saragosa. I’m in the market for a 6000. I think Penn and the Shimano are really good brands, they both have a really good track record and I’m sure at the end of the day it will come down to preference and affordability. Also what rod would you pair that with? Me .. I would Berkeley Venom Madusa ☺️ good luck 🤙
@@thagaseelannaidoo1758 nice set up 🤙 The video I’m uploading shows a new set up a got. Hopefully this video uploads by the morning. It’s a long one 6gigs as well 🤙
@@KentsFishing Thanks my vriend....We are moving to Hiberdine shortly and will book a fishing day with you guys....I am looking every day at your video and picking up a lot of tips🎣🎣
Aadil, I’ve learnt that it’s not just the tides but also wind, weather, time of day and other factors like barometer etc. To be honest if we were to go on these we would never fish 🤣 because they always never 100% so best is as Derek says, 1st light, last light, 2 hrs before the tide changes to high or low. Keep it simple 🤙
Hi Kent, what I'm confused about is how can jigging sardines be legal and gamefish illegal... surely the METHOD needs to be illegal or not because you don't know what you will hook like this? Gamefish swim amongst the sards, so there is a chance to hook them too surely
Hi Gerhard, this is why I said I am not in favour of that method as well. It’s very questionable! Not my style of fishing..I agree, game fish can be hooked by mistake and I’ve always wondered about jig and drop. Hopefully someone else can enlighten us. Thanks Gerhard
@@curtisparker7607 it’s a tuff one, I wonder how often do they fowl hook any fish. I know they use back to back hooks, hopefully the stats on fowl hooking any fish are slim 🤷♂️
I asked around a bit and came across this “Except when fishing for octopus, cuttlefish or squid, no person shall engage in fishing by the jerking of a hook or jig in the sea.” So I think this makes it clear that any form of jigging is illegal, including the “jig and drop” method
@@Gerhard_Vd_Walt good one thanks Gerhard, yep you won’t see me jigging and dropping either. Yet if you search this you will see a number of channels still promote this, in fact they show you how to make up the traces
You reckon that will solve the problem there bru? There needs to be more effort put into apprehending the buyers! Willing seller willing buyer story, without a Market those guys will loose interest and won’t catch so many fish. They won’t go through all that trouble to jig those fish. I wish the people with authority would do something about the situation there. We can only do so much but I will continue bringing awareness and keep on with my conservation efforts and hope that others will follow suite. Shot bru 🤙
@@KentsFishing yes you are 100%right about the buyer's. If they make the river a nature Reserve area which only allows catch and release. Have daff base there, put up fences along the river banks. Yes it will be very good for tourism , to go all the way catch a beautiful garrick, grunter and salmon have a video, pics or a video would nice. If daff spend alot more time trying to educate the locals on why we need the fish to grow and spon , it would create more jobs for locals to become fishing guides due to proper knowledge . Making tourism pick up.. love the videos
