My good friend Tom Mills from Green Shortz DIY / greenshortzdiy has been working on a flat pack camping stove for over a year. Making prototypes and adding features. He has a passion for sustainability and this camping stove uses what is essentially scrap resources that are just laying on the ground in your backyard, at a camp site or even in the picnic area of your local park. That's why I went to my local state park Stone Mountain Park to try out one of his prototype stoves for this video. I wanted to show that you can find fuel laying around whatever landscape you find yourself in. It would have been really easy at home so I wanted to see how I would fair at my favorite place to hike. I also decided to use a Fat Wood Fire Starter vs a normal lighter. I always have a firestarter in my cooking kit and they always light. I don't seem to have the same luck with lighters. They run out of fuel, the valve seizes up or I just can't find it. So I always have a backup fire starter. This Fatwood Starter is pretty cool since it will even ignite when wet. fatwoodfiresteels.com/fatwood-...
