If you close the fuel hatch and leave the only open ports being bottom air vent and top exhaust vent, it should burn much cleaner and actually even hotter, bc the air intake and exhaust outtake are totally seperate and the combustion bow forces the same amount of air into a smaller area, increasing the ramjet effect.
Great build. I have found on my stoves that a chimney riser above the fire box needs to be at least 14 inches to obtain a more complete fire burn. with the higher chimney there is no black on the cooking pots ..
That is great. I’m getting ready to make one and my design. It’s gonna be pretty much like yours, however what that round pipe part do, what’s in it and what does that do?
What is it for? Seems too heavy for camping but too small for home use and no area to cook food on or in. Is it just for burning small bits of wood? Seems well made though.
I’m going to be adding a Sterling engine that I acquired to it soon, the Sterling engine was made in Sweden by a company called inresol that is no longer in business
@@daveconway7109 that's good. Will you insulate the stove so the heat goes to the desired area instead of radiating out in all directions? I like efficient designs, that is why I ask.

I going for a powered draft so i can run it for indoor heating. In the future I need venturi chimney. When the grid goes I still need heat. Too poor to have a power wall.
Way too much steel for what you’re making. If you like fabrication this is your box. If you are building a bug out box there are smaller easier builds. Look on line.

The square tube I used was what I had lying around, it 8x8 inches 1/2 thick, the cylindrical part is to accommodate a Sterling engine, which is an another video on my channel Cheers
@@demo-server4091 it won't... The fan blows from outside,through the pipe towards the heat source,pushing (the heat) in the other direction. The same way a coal forge works I have one with a bigger fan,it works great. But since this is a stove,a cpu cooler will just kick the heat up a little
Half of rocket stove... You dont have second burning area for woodgas to burn... You wasting ~70% of fuel capability. Put another container on top of him and make an exhoust on bottom to burn this gases...
Thanks for your input, the rocket stove was made to drive a Stirling engine I’ve still got work to do to make it more efficient I’ve sent a link to show the direction I’m heading
