Fantastic! Congratulations on designing such a great instrument! I am excited to order this as soon as I can afford it! Also, the stomp that is attached to your foot is an exciting creation that I have been trying to figure out how to create myself for many years, so I'm excited about that instrument too! I was wondering, how easy is the rocking action to use when one is performing while standing?
Greetings. I've diy'd something very similar to your Rocknstomp. I think my sound--and, presumably, the methods for obtaining such--is comparable, but your woodwork and design is, without question, vastly superior! Anyway, I've noticed we both have a similar "issue": the snare/shaker sounds a tiny bit when doing the kick. Hardly the end of the world, but it is a tad bit frustrating. There are two ways to address this: stopping the shaker from, well, shaking when doing the kick, or preventing the shaker from being amplified when doing the kick. Haven't a clue as to how to achieve the former, but the latter seems somewhat more attainable by means of some sort of passive actuator--the question is: what sort of momentary switch would best suit this? Just curious as to whether you've any thoughts on this matter.
The "singing along" of the snare doesn't really bother me.. even a snare drum on a kit does this. In a LIVE situation this is not a problem.. when recording I would run them into different channels and simply "Duck" the signal..
@@PeterSesselmann Good point. Actually, that makes the whole matter less bothersome, so, thanks. I have a habit for approaching these things from an electronics perspective, wherein such "bleed-through" would be unacceptable, but that's hardly relevant un these circumstances.
