I was initially liking the rockville for the better high end but the vocal test really showed the difference. The midrange was much more clear with the timpano

I think it has a lot to do with the tuning/equalization. The Rockville plays much higher and can be tuned down to remove some of the higher frequencies and sound more like the Timpani, but that's not to say the Timpani will reach as high a frequency as the Rockville. You almost don't need horns with the Rockville

Love your channel! You helped me decide which speakers to run in my setup. Timpano neo 6.5 in the front doors and 2 pair of DB Sylvester 6.5s in the rear doors. Sounds amazing.

To be honest I got timpano recently I love mine and they clean and crisps u can hear the difference from the video the other speaker kinda sounds like your at a concert as to the timpano you hear it playing all the notes and all with cleaner sound to it

Wow, some of these pro audio-type midrange drivers have such good high-end extension, you almost don't even need tweeters. (Alphard "Sylvester" series, "Arnold" series being exeptional)

Timpano and the Rockville sounds very close and for such cheap mid range speakers I believe that they are very good mid range and going forward I think they're going to give those high end mid range speakers a lot of trouble both of them but for now I like the Timpano 👍

Can you do a video comparing Timpanos 8" The tpt mr8-4 slim, tpt mr8-4 bullet, tpt md8, tpt mb8 slim I'm going to buy but I don't know which one to choose, I'm more for the mr8-4 slim or the md8, I don't like the bullets so much but there if you can make a comparison I would appreciate it since I love your videos a lot because there we can appreciate the real quality and I want to go secure with what I'm purchasing if there was an md8-4 I would not hesitate to choose it, thanks. ✌🏻

A driver I'd love to see you do is the Silver Flute 6.5 (or 8 I suppose) there $32 each on Madisound. I have been looking at them they have a wool cone?? Anyway please consider reviewing them. There available in 4,8 and 16 ohm. I've see a couple in car demo on a HIFI installation on youtube videos on em but that's it.

Very good budget midbass drivers. Perhaps not the best choice for IB applications, such as a car door or rear deck. They work best in ported enclosures. Something with a high QTS are best suited for cars. (.05-.07 Qts)

to my ears, the Rockville has a very limited amount of frequency extension before it starts having some severe breakup issues in fact this really is a severe mid-range kind of driver where it almost sounds like it's a closed-back mid-range. the tempany just simply has a wide open sound it almost sounds like a full range driver and in fact I think it would make a really good Bluetooth speaker if teamed with a decent tweeter. it's time someone tries to do in SQ build with one of these speakers and see really how far we can take these
