Alex Haggar , so essentially just Mayer doing Mayer! 👍🏻 He gets compared to others so much, but really he has taken the best parts of those other artists and used it to create his own unique, recognizable sound.

This performance is a GOLDMINE for someone aspiring to be a soloist on guitar. His technique of mixing minor and major scales is nothing short of brilliant. Not to mention the licks, phrasing, and tone. Pretty damn special. SRV and Hendrix would be proud.

I was actually thinking this is a goldmine to learn how to overplay the hell out of a song. And ALSO how to cop Hendrix licks that mix minor and major scales. Mayer's a great guitarist, but let's not pretend he came up with any of these licks.
