Such a satisfying ending. Rocky Balboa on top of the world again, as it should be. PA announcer nailed the, "The Heavyweight champion of the world, Rocky Balboa!"
Mr T was/is an amazing man. When through a lot of battles in his life, including cancer and kept fighting. Huge heart. At 71 a man anyone could look up to in life.
The difference between 0:09 and 6:11 is staggering. Just before they touched gloves in the rematch, Rocky looked at Clubber like he was ready to take on the world.
😁....Clubber lang? Is still my favorite! By far. Look we get it! Rocky did his work second fight. In hollywood? We get it l. We all rooted for The Stallion. Clubber was brut. Im a always ride with Clubber period point blank
9:19 I love how rocky just taps into that one mode where he eats the punches like they were chips, blocks, then proceeds to beat the absolute crap out of his opponent
I love the Rocky series. The music when you win a match is the most exciting. Last sparring with best friend Apollo is like Field of Dreams. It's a wonderful sight. Thank you for uploading a nice video.
Basically the whole premise was that Lang hit so hard and heavy that rocky couldn’t chin it. So he had to slim down a lot more to gain speed and improve his footwork to counter it
And so she should look what he did for her. She would have been left on the shelf if it wasn't for him. But instead she didn't just get a man she got Rocky..
Most fighters love Clubber Lang. He was the personification of hard work, drive, and motivation. He forced Rocky to change and evolve with a dose of reality. Clubber's drive and focus is legendary.
That's true, the problem is we wouldn't see him to be a "villain" if they didn't also make him a punk, publicly calling out Rocky and flirting with Adrian. It would've also become public shortly after the fight that Rocky's trainer was sick and actually died, which would've kept sympathy with Rocky and given Clubber very little recognition as the champ.
@@lucky889s9 No. Stallone is kinda weird in how he treats his Rocky brand. He has the Game of Throne type of format with the characters. He killed off Mickey, his wife, and Apollo. When Carl Weathers asked to be in the Creed franchise (as flashbacks I suppose) they had some sort of falling out. I give Sly alot of props for giving non-white actors meaty roles in his big budget films. Had it been anyone else I would've probably defaulted to HW actors/producers spitting on black actors by underpaying them, saying they can drive a good story, or wouldn't generate alot of money. I had the same issue too with them bringing back Drago but not Mr. T/Clubber Lang. Lang is actually the more developed character between the two villains.
@@desecration171exactly, he asked dolph in Expendables. Also wesley snipes. But not mr T? He's perfect for that terry crews character, or that boxing gym owner
@@ansumanbarman1681 You, yah? Da dum-dum American who does the mental operations to proceed on emotion and ideology rather than facts, yah? Imma-slappa-you-wit-da-wet-spaghetti, yah. Mama Mia
Funny thing is, even though Rocky beat Apollo, and we love 'em both, we cannot help but think Apollo would beat the brakes off of Clubber Lang. And even Rocky knew it. Rocky outpunched Clubber, but Apollo, even fresh out of retirement and having just been training Rocky, would have schooled Clubber for 10 rounds before knocking him out. And we all know it's true. I love these characters, including Clubber, who was not a 'bad guy'. He was the personification of hard work and true grit. Apollo was Pure Talent.. Rocky had the edge over both with a superior Will, in addition to those other skills. But always remember, Apollo was the greatest, even if Rocky beat him to a 10 count once.
*Rocky IV's Sylvester Stallone has entered the chat* You're seriously going to suggest that Creed was superior to Balboa when he literally died at the hands of a man Rocky actually defeated in his honor? Not trying to sound like an asshole but, that's not how powerscaling works. Lol And yes, the term "powerscaling" isn't typically used in boxing oriented films. But the Rocky series aren't your typical boxing films.
@@HonestJohn_01.19 I mean, Apollo was past his prime by that time, have not been in a fight in over 5 years, and pretty much took it like a game and underestimated Drago.

I appreciate how they made the fights in Rocky Balboa and the Creed films a little bit more realistic while still having it be dramatic and exaggerated. The fights in the first 4 Rocky films are epic but they're way over the top, especially Rocky vs Drago in 4 where there is no physical way he could withstand that.
I don't know man. Creed 2's fight against Ivan Drago's son almost looked CG by comparison. To me, that was the least "grounded" bout of the series by far.
They cut it out in this clip but the death of Mickey was the most poignant scene in the entire franchise. Sly digged deep inside and unleashed a deluge of sadness that did honors to his mentor!
Rocky never had to put Adrian aside to pursue his goals. She was always supportive and always there for him even in a rat infested gym. She’s a perfect model of the complementary opposite that a good woman is to a good man.
I used to thing Stallone was a actor and did not care much for this type of movie. I saw him interviewed and he wrote ,directed and starred in most movies he has been in. Real talent

Silvester Stallone is one of my favorite actors watching him as a kid growing up. I enjoy the Rocky legacy. Rocky 2 and Rocky 3 are my 2 favorite Rocky movies.
At 66 years old, I can truthfully say that I have never watched the Rocky movies, none of them. I don't know why. Today is 3/9/2024 and I'm going to binge watch them..... "If I can change, we can all change"! That's what Rocky yelled! It's what Rocky would've wanted!!!!
Stallone said he has never been hit that hard by a human being in his life when Hogan almost plows him through the ring, he told Hogan to hit him as hard as he could for that scene
He set it up he was peppering with that left jab all round. I know it’s all Hollywood boxing BS but I watched when I was 12 on VHS and rocky was my hero.
My childhood ACTOR Sylvester Stallone, who did two Epic movies with Sequels one As John Rambo, veteran US SOLDIER, fighter for peace and democracy, another Rocky Balboa, a boxer.
Vulnerability.. being fallible.. being expendable.. needing help.. these are the key things missing in the more recent Rocky and even Creed films. The human side has gone missing. These earlier ones built the suspense in a clever way, the characters came out of the screen at you and they paid attention to tiny details. By the end of the movie you genuinely did not know what was going to happen.
