The trailer is actually 10 times better than the movie.

There are literally dozens of ways that Rocky could have got himself out of dodge financially, if not a fight with the useless Union Kane then writing memoirs, becoming a pundit, having a column in a national newspaper, setting up his own sporting brand (dozens of sponsors would have wanted to jump on the bandwagon of his victory over Drago)... the list goes on and on...

never forget being in the theater as an 8 year old, the crowd was cheering the final fight as if it was real

Rocky 5 is actually a good film!! Im a huge rocky fan and 5 fits in with the story of the "circle of life".for me its all part of the big picture

I never understood why anybody would even want to try Rocky after he knocked out a Russian superman in Rocky IV

I like 5.. but I agree it was a bad LAST film, but now that there is a 6 and now 7... 5 does fit the overall structure. But as the last film it would be depressing.

Still one of my favourite Rocky films. I love that they took it back to Philly. Rocky 4, as much as it had a great cast, training montage(s) and fight, for me it’s the harsh reality of Philly and the rise of the underdog that makes these films special for me. I also love the Elton John signing on the end credits.

It sucked that Rocky Balboa and his family were no longer millionaires in Rocky 5

Well, this is a lot better than Rocky 4 it brings back the charm of rocky and his lifestyle. when rocky comes back from Russia he goes into retirement and hangs up the gloves and goes back home to Philadelphia after Paulie loses their money to a stockbroker, Rocky then renovates Mickey's gym which was left to Robert and reopens it where he meets Tommy Gunn a boxer that seeks out Rocky and wants him to train him. I love this movie it also shows the relationship of Rocky and Robert his son who becomes a major character and how Rocky is putting his son aside for his new protege Tommy. This movie brings back the drama that which made the first three Rocky movies great. This is a really good movie. The acting is great, the story is great, directing is great and so is the music. The best scene is the street fight at the end between Tommy and Rocky. And the flashback scene where Mickey gives Rocky this heartfelt speech was heartbreaking makes you mess the character. If you have not seen this movie then I recommend you do. This movie is Cinematastic rating 5/5

This trailer is pretty decent. The way this trailer is cut makes it seem like a different film tho. In my opinion #5 was a poor ending to the series, but the film is not bad as a part of a longer legacy. In a way it has a lot more story and raises a lot more serious topics than # 3 & 4 did. The issue of brain damage in boxing, the inevitable decline of every grat athlete, how chasing your own dreams may affect you own family, the greed in the sport industry I actually liked the film more the second time I watched it than the first time.

Rocky 5 is a masterpiece, the film has very few fights, but that makes it a dramatic masterpiece, Stallone's remebrance of his mentor in a lone boxing room is iconic

What captivated me as a kid and still to this day was the post Russian episode and how they used Rocky 4 music in this trailer ! Rocky 4 is an icon epic movie. It's just out of this world huge. That was what Rocky was made for...Taking down the ultimate fighter...Drago. Rocky 5 is hard to watch after that monumental fight and victory. Rocky in red white and blue America trunks fists in the air !

I remember this being shown on Pay-Per-View if you wanted to order Rocky V! I was confused because some scenes weren’t in the actual film.

I didn't learn til later in life that this movie was almost a complete placation of the Mike Tyson story (almost word for word..) but I always resented Stallone for regretting ever making this. Who cares what a couple of bozos from Hollywood thought about it it was a GREAT way to end the Rocky saga. I loved Rocky 5

This was not a bad movie at all I mean come on of course it's not going to be nowhere near the classics but me personally I like this better than Rocky 3 because it has substance, Even though Rocky had brain damage he still wasn't going to let this loser bully him and his family what an idiot Tommy guns was in this movie how the hell you going to do that to Rocky smh.. I got to give this movie 6 1/2 out of 10 I enjoyed it but rocky 2 is one of my favorite movies all time..

I thought this was a great movie. It touched on many real things that boxers go through. Losing money, having to find yourself again...the injuries...

What could have saved this movie is if Rocky fought in the ring fell into a coma and then came back for one more fight.

If Rocky V was a standalone movie, it would've been average. But because it followed Rocky IV, which was absolute 80's over the top cheese and ended the Cold War, stripping the franchise down and taking it back to its roots felt like a big step back. Watching it again in hindsight, it's perfectly acceptable. But it's doomed to be the forgotten movie. The one that Stallone pretends never happened in the canon of the franchise.

I wanted this movie SO BAD when i was little. This trailer was on my VHS copy of Rocky 4 and I'd watch this over and over in anticipation of getting to watch Rocky 5.

It's an okay sequel, but it should not have been the last one. Thank goodness for VI, VII, and now VIII.

This was an actual good movie. It was realistic as opposed the the two films that preceeded it.

Rocky 5 was criminally underrated. It spotlighted a different side of Rocky: washed up.

It was a mediocre send off for the character. Not a bad movie, but it needed to be stronger. Thankfully the sixth film gave the character a proper ending.

This was the start of a decline in great Rocky movies. I did enjoy it, although it did not match the excitement of the former ones. I didn't watch any that came after this because I figured the game was over. Out of the 4 real Rocky movies, number 3 will always be my favorite.

in the starting when they are saying "Rocky! Rocky! Rocky!" it sounds like "Top G! Top G! Top G!"

This movie still made more money than Creed, and that's saying something. Stallone should have walked away from the offer to make Creed. The series should have ended with Rocky Balboa.

Also Rocky 5 had hella good characters such as Tommy Gunn, Union Kane and Washington Duke . Also the family dynamic was good touch.
