Rod Stewart, the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and global superstar talks about the early days-from his humble childhood to busker, bohemian and Mod in London’s ’60-70s club scene, to fronting The Jeff Beck Group and his five raucous years with the Faces, to writing “Maggie May,” and setting in motion one of the most successful and enduring music careers of all time. About his other great passions (Celtic FC), family and his not-so-private private life, and his renaissance as a songwriter and performer of original hit songs as his second album of the decade, Another Country, hits stores.
Recorded on October 29, 2015 at 92nd Street Y.

Fantastic, humble, guy, had a life most of us could barely even imagine, and he is brutally honest and tells it like it is.

I met Rod Stewart and Rachel Hunter many years ago. I realize you can't know someone in an hour, but during our chat he was kind, friendly and humble. He told me he realizes how fortunate he's been and doesn't take any of it for granted. Their wasn't a shred of ego from one of the biggest rock stars on the planet.

1981 I spent two nights with Rod. Met him at his manager's party, in Beverly Hills, my boyfriend's mom lived behind the hotel, I saw the parking attendants and said who's having a party and they said his name, well I knew that was Rod's manager from working for CBS and Warner Bros. it was wonderful the attention he gave me, invited me to the Record Plant the next evening and the Entourage. I love you Rod.

I love Sir Rod. I grew up in Scotland listening to him thanks to my Dad, a die hard Rangers man. To this day (I’m 51) he is my favourite singer. We may not agree on football teams but he brings back lots of happy days with my Dad. Every concert I go to, my Dad’s Rangers kit comes with me.

Yes she is adorable and needs to keep asking questions. The entire interview enabled us to learn more than any other interview available to view. Too bad you forgot to notice some of our wonderful Rod answers were equivalent to a 12 year old boy response esp. the one when he met his "Maggie Mae". You are ................... OUT OF IT!~ XO

Difficult time getting through this interview because Hoda is awful. Instead of asking intelligent questions, she was more concerned with Rod's hair while annoyingly giggling like a star struck fan throughout the interview. disappointing after viewing Billy Joel interviewing Don Henley. I hope she doesn't conduct future "interviews". *sigh*
