Rod Strickland (21pts/12rebs/20asts) vs. Warriors (1998)

With Chris Webber (you will notice his childlike behaviour) and Juwan Howard out with injuries, Rod Strickland steps up and leads the team to a victory against the Warriors by recording career highs in assists and rebounds. Tracy Murray was on fire this particular night, but also give credit to Strickland for setting those shots up. It's pretty ironic that the two got into a fight earlier that season that left both players injured. February 10, 1998.

This is how Kyrie Irving learn how to finish at the basket. I love watching foot is like this because it helps me improve my game. Rod Strickland finish the basketball well and had a good crossover. I want to make it to the NBA to Aaron Swinton watch my name in the 2020 NBA Draft.

***** Rod Strickland entered his twilight years midway through the 2000-01 NBA season where he was still a solid PG with the Washington Wizards. At 34, Strickland was still a good player with the Wizards when he averaged 12.2 points per game, 3.2 rebounds per game, 7.0 assists per game, 1.3 steals per game and 0.1 blocks per game,... ,...all around the neighborhood of just above 30 minutes, around 30 to 31 minutes per game while starting in 28 of the 33 games he played for Washington in 2000-01, indicating that Strickland was a starter at PG for the '00-'01 Wizards. However, the Washington Wizards ended up letting Strickland go midseason via buyout when Michael Jordan tried to get rid of the infamous Washington trifecta of overpaid stars such as Rod Strickland, Juwan Howard and Mitch Richmond during 2000-01 due to their high salaries handcuffing the Wizards' inability to sign major NBA star players via free agency. __ So here's a look at Rod Strickland's stats during his twilight years with Portland, Miami, Minnesota, Orlando, Toronto and Houston from the second half of 2000-01 to 2004-05: 1.(2000-01 Portland Trail Blazers): Role:Reserve PG behind Damon Stoudamire GP/GS:0 out of 21 games started Minutes Per Game:Somewhere around 16-17 mins. per game PPG:4.6 RPG:1.7 APG:3.4 SPG:0.5 BPG:0.0 2.(2001-02 Miami Heat): Role:Starting PG ahead of Anthony Carter GP/GS:64 out of 76 games started Minutes Per Game:30 per game PPG:10.4 RPG:3.1 APG:6.1 SPG:1.1 BPG:0.1 3.(2002-03 Minnesota Timberwolves): Role:Reserve PG behind some guy named Troy Hudson GP/GS:8 out of 47 games started Minutes Per Game:20 per game PPG:6.8 RPG:2.0 APG:4.6 SPG:1.0 BPG:0.1 4.(2003-04 Orlando Magic) Role:Reserve PG probably behind Tyronn Lue GP/GS:9 out of 46 games started Minutes Per Game:Somewhere around 19-20 mins. per game PPG:6.8 RPG:2.6 APG:4.0 SPG:0.6 BPG:0.2 5.(2003-04 Toronto Raptors) Role:Reserve PG GP/GS:1 out of 15 games started Minutes Per Game:Somewhere around 18-19 mins. per game PPG:4.7 RPG:2.5 APG:3.9 BPG:0.5 SPG:0.3 6.(2004-05 Houston Rockets) Role:Reserve PG behind a combination of Bob Sura, Charlie Ward, Tyronn Lue and Mike James Minutes Per Game:A mere 12 per game which isn't enough for Strickland to maximise his inflated statsheet for '04-'05. PPG:1.8 RPG:1.7 APG:2.4 BPG:0.2 SPG:0.1 So anyway, Mr. ***** tell me which one of those twilight year type seasons from 2000-01 to 2004-05 do you think was the best all-around season for Rod Strickland in terms of role and minutes per game, plus the bestest across-the-board stats for Strickland during those years? And who 'oughta forget that many remember Rod Strickland as the guy who is infamous for eating a poor diet which leads to him eating all sorts of junk food such as hot dogs, nachos and pizzas. I bet many look back at the junk food habits as his biggest lore in the NBA.

Look how competitive it was then. That crazy to me, modern ball players typically don't d up. Nowadays ppl can be considered all star caliber players and have wack defense. That's corny to me. An all star hooper should be great on both sides of the ball not just one.

I think some of these guys from the 90's could have numbers like Steph if they shot as many threes as he did. Maybe only a few could shoot as far but I think they had that kind of 3 point shooting talent back then, just a different play style that didn't include a player averaging 8 3 point attempts per game.

My newest video is of Rod Strickland in the 1994 Playoffs against the Rockets in that series, when he had 23.5 ppg and 9.8 apg. I included all made FGs, shooting fouls he drew, and assists. I made sure to recount the stats for each game with my video clips, and they matched with the box scores. "Rod Strickland 23.5 PPG / 9.8 APG - 1994 Playoffs 1st Rd "
