Rod Strickland may be one of the most underated point guards in NBA history. Known for having 20 and 10 playoff series averages, having a 20 assists game, and also averaged more then 10 assists for one season.
I DO NOT own clips or videos that i post of sports Highlights. All highlights or clips are property of the NBA, NCAA, ACC, NFL, SEC, ESPN , BroadbandTV NBA account, ETC.. All videos are edited following the "fair use" guideline of RU-vid.

This dude was totally solid. Perfect control point guard. Didn’t shoot 3’s, it was either pass, 10 foot jumper, or finish at the rim in a crowd and make it look easy. There’s a reason he played for 17 years. Any team would want him. Totally unselfish, fully in control both with the ball and just emotionally in general.

Nobody did it quite like Hod Rodney Strickland! From college all the way up he won 90% of his battles with the top point guards. Not many can say that! Peace and love from Chicago!

My all-time favorite player. Great playmaker, but he can also take hits & still finish at the rim. He was still like 7th or 8th all-time in assists when he retired(he's dropped beyond top ten now). Great video. Thank you.

Great finisher, and you’re right, he wound up on his butt a lot, but it was either and one or two shots, but it was always a foul. He never was out of control or looked silly

Every single kid nowadays does the double behind the back but back in the day Rod Strickland would make fools look silly with that move.

While not bring an explosive leaper,he knew how to get his shot off in the paint,he had a great understanding of angles. I remember when knicks traded him to the Spurs, I thought him,Elliot, and Robinson would dominate for yrs in the West.

Should have shown more defensive highlights. Rod was a pretty good offensive player but was fuckin tenacious on defense.
