😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 Awesome bud gish i miss you so much its like you moved already. The fluffs are more than the info today. I screwed uo everything i tried to do. Hows Wendy and the kids doing?
Great tests here Violet! We still use a cheap Boya Lav mic for most of our talking head videos but our Video Micro is still serving us well for running and gunning. We had a mic pro for a while but unfortunately the internals didn't hold up which was a shame. Very useful vid, thanks for sharing!
Great video and demonstration Violet, we use the Saramonic Blink 500 twin lav set because there are two of us talking and walking, so we need two transmitters into one receiver, we really wanted the Rode wireless set but it's only good for one lav. It would be great to see how you edit your sound, the "untreated" lav mic sounded a little light but in your edited video sounds great! We also have the knock off of the Rode Micro a Boya MM1 which works great. Thanks for sharing have a great weekend.
I have a Boya as well! Forgot about that one. And yes - you need to buy two Rode wireless for two people. Ripoff. Your sound is always good, especially considering most of your recording is outside under conditions you can’t control. Of course if you went to Ottawa, the sound is always good there 😂
Hello my dear friends! You have an awesome setup and your sound is always magic. If you edit in premiere pro, simply go to sound settings, change the default setting on dialogue to podcast voice. Done. It makes the lav mics sounds awesome.
😂😂😂😂 I love Norm and Tina's sound. They always give you the best bang for your buck when watching their videos. I always feel as if i am there with them. 👏👏
That’s a great tip, V. I play around a bit with those presets. Sometimes the balanced female voice, sometimes drop background noise and sometimes podcast. Good to experiment for sure!!
Thanks for watching! Also remember that if you rexord straight to your laptop the soundboard doesnt do the quality of the mic justice. Get some sort of pre amp like the focusrite scarlet or something. It is worth it. If you record to your camera, make sure you go into the mic settings of the camera and change it so it doesnt run hot (it must not peak over - 12db)
Hi! Violet, Well, I go for Pro+, great review and great promotion, Lol! I love the funny part at the end of this video, sending you my kindness supports to your channel, I'll visit you again next time.
😂 LOVED THIS RIGHT TO THE END! Oh my gosh - don’t get me going about mics!! I have a few Rode mics myself. The small one you mentioned for on the camera, one to plug into my phone and the wireless one that Sonny reviewed a while ago. I actually had purchased the ProPlus - but when I tested it against the micro one there was not enough difference to justify the cost. But I didn’t test it with interviewing others. I have a Diety lav mic I use with the Rode Wireless. Really good set up. And I use my Yeti for everyday video conferencing. And I have that mic for my piano recordings. Can’t remember the name - you know the one. I am full up with mics. 😂 Always great to see that smile, hear that laugh and see you have some fun 🙏🌷🥰🍷
Yeah K! Well you can just about start a mic shop at your house because you have such an arsenal of them. You always sound awesome and thats not just the mics. Hahahaha yes today was particularly hard to film myself. 😂😂😂
I use the Rode Video Micro. I love it especially since we are traveling so much. I like the small compact feature. The last one sounded awesome!!! But probably too big for my GoPro. Great test.
Ibagree yes its way too big for your gopro but the micro is a really stunning mic. Remember i test it without adding a sound effect. If you add a multiband compressor it sounds exactly like the video mic pro plus. Thanks again for watching my friend.
Great Job, that was really interesting to see how they perform for you. Lol VIDEO MIC PRO PLUS its a mouth FULL love the bloopers. PS Just check the video title... I think its Rode right? "Rhode" might not get you ranked for them
Awesome thanks for watching buddy and oh i fixed it feom my phone but it doesnt look like it stuck so i will fix it from my laptop in a bit. All great mics yes but saying all 3 names in a row is a bit much 😂😂😂
Hey Ian, yes i love the pro too. On plus 20 i sometimes have to compress a bit but it is really cool. The end was added because today was just one of them days i could say nothing right amd people should know that i make liads of mistakes too. 😂. Thanks so much for you awesome support always.
Hello my dear friends. Yes the lapel mics are a great addition to any mic toolkit. If you dont have a recorder then you can plug it into your camera or straight into your laptop like i did with this test. 😂😂😂 The outtakes was so that people can see how many times i screw up just to get a 5 min video done. 🤣. Thanks so much for your continued support i am so blessed to have you as my friends.
Hey violet you beat me to it I was just about to record a video testing out the mics that I have most of mine are also rode but now i actually have to make it and put a video out there thanks again
Hey man, yes please make the video. I have 4 parts to this video. This one was indoors. I have an outdoors, a foley and a scene video planned too. Shot, just have to edit and output. Would love to see your test on these brilliant mics. Cant wait. Thanks for the support buddy.
Audio is a feckin’ nightmare at the best of times. A great video showing the differences. Really well done. I have the Rode video micro. But when I looked at the Mic Pro +, I went and bought the Deity V-mic D3 Pro instead. The pro definitely sounds best in your example though. But that doesn’t matter. What matters are those outtakes at the end. I needed a wee before I saw that part.... oh dear 😝
Yeah, thats how I understood the 2 pair up. Both have very good sound but more adjustments an finer adjustments can be made on the Deity. I understand, the Rode Pro has 2 settings to adjust the gain?
