Very good articulate video.Always remember reading about the RUC man who investigated the pitchfork murders in Fermanagh and not only admiring his police work but admiring his belief in justice, even though he knew he was breaking a lot of unspoken rules.Theirs is a side of the story that I rarely have read or heard.
Hmmm....one would feel that the RUC ( Special Branch & executive officers ) would need to own up to the very deep involvement of their organisation in the murders / assassinations of many hundreds of nationalists. I wonder would Roger be willing to acknowledge this existential fact ? Sympathies for his personal loss also...🙏🏻
Well I think he covered that in his reference to "over equivalence" and the idea that the average RUC man was not involved in the activities that people now ascribe to them as the norm. They were not. Nor did the average British Army soldier wage a blood soaked campaign of slaughter. Fact is most squaddies never fired a weapon and most RUC men were not in the Glennane gang. If either were true then there would be a mountain of corpses in the tens of thousands. Not 3500 in 30 years most of whom were killed by Republican terrorists
@BananaSandwich A bit like Gerry .. " I was never in the Provos".. Adams. Like the Killers of LaMon and Claudy who will die safe in their beds . Over equivalence is the subject. Justice for all ,not a weaponised political campaign.
@Razor Mouth It`s been a while ,so I`m not sure what the point is. I commented on the obsession with RUC and Army collusion being covered in the interview , I pointed out the numbers killed by Republicans. Can`t really make out what you are saying ,how am I re writing history?
