Well her mutant power allows her to copy strength speed abilities and other powers so she even if she reamains the same in form, she can act like the copied victim and do pretty much what they can do. ( I guess Wolverine has his claws as an advantage )
@@quentincl2932 She can still copy his bone claws, but she can't replicate the adamantium - I don't think her power lets her copy anything artificial... ( _How she got Gambit's playing cards is anyone's guess..!_ )

Imagine Akuma training for years honing your skills and embracing his demons to perfect the Raging Demon technique only for Rogue to kiss you and finish you off with it.
I especially like how they gave her special poses for each stolen move she uses, instead of just generic hand or body movements that more than likely don't match the move at all.
Great detail but it’s also why she can’t do it in marvel vs capcom 2 😂 Imagine the nightmare it would be to do that for all the different characters lol
I wish Rogue stole Bison’s “psycho crusher” instead. Also I do wish she had lines to go with the Street Fighter attacks! Hearing her shout “Hadouken” would’ve been awesome!
We need this character back in a Marvel vs Capcom fighting game. Game designers have no idea what they’re missing with rogue as a fighter and any fighting game. Make it happen Capcom!

I think it’s doable in a modern fighting game. Dragonball Fighterz has a pretty similar gimmick with Android 21. Granted, they gave her several groups for move stealing instead of a unique attack for every fighter. But still.
When I was a kid, I begged my parents to get me this for my birthday. I was so surprised and disappointed at how bad the port was on PS1. I didn't know beforehand how bad the port was at the time because I was just 10 and naive. I tried to make the best of the situation.
I still remember it is called EX edition. Damn I was dumb trying to switch character and I have no idea how. I did it so easily in the arcade only to know PS1 ex edition do not have the switch ability
A good mechanic, too bad they couldn't implement it in the MvsC2 due to the number of characters, but it had a spiritual successor with Seth in the SFV.
I liked mvc2 when playing it casually (ie arcade mode and unlocking all the characters in the home versions). However, I despise its tournament scene. The same old boring top tiers going against each other in fgc tourneys smfh.
It's all gone in Marvel VS Capcom 2. The character list is so huge that they toned down the power drain to just "strength up", "defense up", "regeneration" and "speed up".
Yeah, imagine simply reusing almost all of the sprite assets since Children of the Atom and SF Alpha... They had a lot of time in their hands to make newcomers like Rogue have lots of animation.
@@WhatIsMatter101To their credit, Capcom Rtists put a lot of love into drawing the Rogue and Gambit sprited. Buy the Udon art books and you'll see the sketchwork.
I hated that they removed this ability from her in MVC2. Probably because they didn’t want to do new animations. Because it was so cool that she could even steal the raging demon from Akuma.
That’s cool I didn’t know rogue could copy peoples powers like that. Rogue with hyper grav is pretty useful. Sabretooth and wolverines are the same. Still cool feature in the game.
Since she has every move programmed into her sprite from this mechanic, with all the work put in, you’d think Capcom would’ve begged for her longevity in games. Rogue could’ve been ported over as many times as Morrigan’s dusty old sprite 😂
Man I miss these days of the vs. games! I like how Rogue has different animations whenever she does one of the stolen special moves, but it would have been more awesome if they got her to voice all of the moves with her voice actor! Would love to hear that country twang to "HADOUKEN" or "BERSERKER CLAW"!!!!

Sucks there is not more active players on fightcade with this game. I do get the reason why though. Any game with alot of broken easily achieved infinite combos don't attract alot of players.
I forgot she had these. Imagine if they let her carry some of these attacks into 2. Probably still be wack, but it would've been dope, especially the raging mutant.
I was so hyped to try her stolen moves on MvC2, only to find out she only gets a temporary buff depending on the character that got kissed. Sad but considering they kept all existing characters as is, it was predictable. They wouldn't add all those new sprites to the game.
Whats funny is when Rogue steal Zangief's power bomb its easier for her to do it since she only has to a 1/4 circle turn while he has to do a full circle
Aside from the most common reason mentioned for Rogue not doing this in MvC2 (too many other characters), there’s another reason: How would she copy special moves that only involve weapons? Examples: Hayato: Would she suddenly get his plasma sword and do Shiden (forward slash), Guren (DP/anti-air), or would she just get something that looks like one of his plasma combos, except with her fists? Cable: The only thing that would make sense is Psimitar. Otherwise she would need Cable’s actual guns or grenades. Jill: Maybe her “Charging S.T.A.R.S”? Speaking of which… Captain America: Either Charging Stars or Stars and Stripes without his shield. Other interesting choices: Venom: Her version of Venom Fang would be interesting. Otherwise Venom Rush would be easier to animate. Strider: Plenty of possibilities here: bird, tiger, or single orb. Excalibur dash in the air would also work. Silver Samurai: Shuriken’s the only thing that would work here. Ruby Heart: Pretty much any of her moves could work. Ghosts, her controllable dashes, the water wave from the ground. Captain Commando: Captain Corridor!!!
