This video demonstrates how to create scenes with multiple zones, arpeggio, rhythm pattern and how to switch between them with scene remain for a smooth transition.
This video includes the following product demonstration:
- How to create scenes
- How to save scenes
- How to write scenes over other scenes so overwriting them
- How to layer tones in multiple zones
- How to restrict the range of available notes to be played
- How to activate arpeggio per zone
- How to select an arpeggio type and variation
- How to select a rhythm pattern and activate the key trigger
- How to set a zone other then 10 for the rhythm pattern because of only 8 zones available with scene remain active
- How to activate Scene remain to obtain smooth sound transition between scenes (only the first 8 on Fantom 0)

Hello mate, thanks a lot! this is really interesting. I’m considering to get the Fantom as replacement of my Korg Kross 2. One simple trivial question: can one scene play more than one arpeggiator type at the same time? Korg Kross allows two different arpeggios on different tracks, Arp A and Arp B. Fantom seems to be able as the interface shows Arp button for every part. But can them be different or just many times the same one? Many Thanks!!

No it cannot, it has only one arpeggio at the time… the only workaround is what this video shows using LFOs, but they are not arpeggios… check the video here Roland Fantom 0/06/07/08 - Demo / Tutorial 15: i-ARP for Fantom via STEP LFO? 128 out of the box, but you can use the Pattern editor to crate more rhythmic patterns and change them via the pads if you need to, although it is not the same…
