Thank you so much for your Juno repair guide. I have very little electronics knowledge; but your detailed explanation has given me the confidence to tackle it myself. Very much appreciated. 😃👍🏻👍🏻
@@bonzomusik The ARP was fine the last time I switched it on, so fingers crossed. My issues were the noise that gradually increases on the Chorus a few minutes after switching on and the white trigger switch next to the Bender no longer working. I managed to obtain the two chips responsible for the Chorus which hopefully solves that once I replace them. I’ll try cleaning the switch membranes on the trigger to see if that solves the problem. Giving it my best shot tomorrow; I’m just waiting for a bottle of isopropyl to arrive today. Thanks again; I’ll have your tutorial playing for the duration of my attempt. 😃👍🏻👍🏻
👍 Absolutely brilliant! Loved every minute n dry humour moment too.. and yes, would love to see a midi mod vid... Cheers! n keep an eye out for shitty caps next after mechanical knobs n sliders 😉😊
Finally! You have the first video on youtube showing those hidden patches! Thank you! The Juno 6/0 is a beautiful beast! Keep up the good work, and keep em coming!
I enjoyed your Juno 60 repair video. I noticed you still had the original patch battery in place. Might want to change that out as a preventative measure. I'm sure it's done it's time.🙂
If it is still working (retaining patch memory), then at least just keep an eye on the battery for bulges or leaks or corrosion. We've all seen too many examples of how an old battery did irreparably damaged to PCB's or surrounding components. Plus coin cell batteries are much easier to source than the original battery type. And no soldering. Just snap into a battery holder, and stick using some Velcro to a safe place away from sensitive components. It's a win win!
I was wondering if you ever came across a threshold limit with how high the notes can go if you play notes in the top octave, with the octave transpose on "up", and the arpeggiator range on "3"? Mine seems to have a limit as to how high it can go in this reguard, and i was wondering if this was normal? I've just never seen this anomaly mentioned anywhere.
Hi, caps were just generic electrolytic's off of ebay, basically not the cheapest Chinese things. Tools used in video, Draper soldering station and a solder sucker with a heated nozzle - not sure on the make, was a present years ago
🙏🧡💚👌☺️on mine , the bender is broken too, it occurs people have done that voluntarly, be ause that way you can rotate it more fast and more easily, and in accessing to the other uttons here. So I will not repair it. My Juno 6 have only the HPF not working and come top slider are missing. The first thin is to unmount and clean the mother board very attentively. Then like you did, service. Board if something is wrong
