This is for the type of pianist that prefers the stairs to keep his blood flowing, he uses cufflinks because his shirt is expensive enough, and he is playing at a concert hall the day before to warm up in a dress rehearsal fashion for his solo performance. Remarkable.

Chopin is far too 'tinkly' for a real test of this instrument, which does sound very thin. The Slow movement from Beethoven's Sonata No. 13 in C minor, op. 13 (Pathétique) would be a much better piece to show off its dynamic range.

I think this piano, and other Rolands, sound bad with the line out audio. With the on board speakers, it sounds much fuller

I applaud Roland for their impressive work, but this piano leaves a lot to be desired, as it has already been mentioned in the lower register. It's much too boomy and unnatural, It sounds hollow and the speakers are overwhelmed. Maybe it just needs tweaking, maybe that will help..

Just depends on the user or beholder. Sounds just fine to me. Also - depends on what was used to do the recording.

Classical music doesn't hide the digital essence of sampled piano. Jazz might offer more forgiveness.

classical music isn't holy grail, or is it any benchmark. Digital pianos stay in tune, and sample-playback systems these days have enough richness and quality in sound to make ourselves (the people playing them) and/or other people have emotions triggered - and can be deep emotions as well, no matter what music is being played on them - classical, pop, jazz etc.

This is not a sampled piano. It's acoustic modelled, with the sound generated in real time.

This Piano sound not natural especially in the low registration too boomy in the base and too thin on the high register

I don't even have a roland. But it sounds just fine to me. It's like food etc. Different people have different tastes etc.

I don't think you can comment on the sound of a piano without listening to live. Otherwise the boominess may come from the recording, or from the quality of your own speaker system...

@@TamirOrkobysPiano Of course you are totally entitled to express your opinion on what you are hearing. But it is important to remember that what you listened to was the sound of a _recording_ of that instrument, and through _your_own_speakers. I don't think is fair to judge the sound quality of an instrument in this way. Even if you listened through the best sound system in the world, it would still be a recording. And there's the playability, keyboard action, etc... things you really need to try. I just think a lot of people are too quick in making judgments about the quality of this instruments with very limited and imperfect information.
