Wow UnderTaker Thanks so much for this thorough explanation/tutorial/proof. It definitely makes the MC808 more attractive. Let me know if I can return the favor. Cheers
Hey 1heUndertaker. Your many detailed and curious walkthrough-s with the MC808 have helped me understand the potential of this manchine WAY better than the (meager) manual. So I started looking through the manual for other things that didn't make sense. I have been stumped by the following topics from the MC808 manual. 1) the "Input Effect" for sampling, see pp 57. to pitch-shift the incoming sound using the pad-keys. 2) when the "D-Beam" is SoloSynth, pp58.. where does the sound come-from. Is it the currently selected Track, or a "17th" track. Can you routed the SoloSynth sound through the FX architecture? or does it have to be 'dry'. 3) the D-Beam can be used to adjust Tempo AND/OR Pitch of the MC-808 playback... up OR down. Can we hear how this sounds on a present pattern. 4) can you manipulate the Tempo and/or Pitch of MC-808 while sampling. If so, what happens to the sound sampled ? If you have covered any of these topics before, please direct me to appropriate video. If not, I would greatly appreciate any exploration/discovery/explanation you can share with us. Cheers !
Hello thepatrickrichardson, your questions and topics are certainly interesting - I will see if I can have a go at them in some way. I have not looked at these areas before, so it should be an amusing explore for us to do - hope to have some time to investigate later this week.
