ah Eventide one of the best brand of reverb ^^ the Hallucinogen Guy " Simon Posford" use the big one for making the awesomness of he's album, it make the sound very dark ^^ and that SH 101 sound always fantastic ^^
hard to get a good one . I bought mine nearly new in a time nobody wants them : ) Roland engineers did a very good job in the 80s, 202, 303, 606, 808, 909 , junos the jupiters ... i think they cant do this good job again, i really want to buy a new 303, but dont like the sound of the new one . And now the old Roland stuff is so overpriced. But That's just my opinion and my taste of sounds, cheers my friend .
+MossPrinten Hey ! Your videos are awesome ! Question : What's triggering the notes on the 101 ? The internal sequencer ? I thought it was the Volca Keys... Cheers !
very nice piece and listened the complete 20 minutes while scrolling fb! i have to say, i was waiting the hole time for a bit more punch to "kick" in. especially the V Beats is a bit in the background compared to the crunchy bassline... and SH-101 maaaannn!!! i have like many others a very weak spot for that synth. it rules in many scenes!! so yeah, maybe silence the bassline a tiny bit and give the whole thing more drive(not too much though) or just the V Beats "if possible" more drive or compression, would be my guess. it IS a great track but could be a KILLERTRACK!
***** Thanks a lot PG, your words are very important for me.Yes you are right 101 to loud , Beats to much backround, Monotribe sometimes to quiet and there is a backround noise on the keys coming of his own Delay. And somthing special missing on the Track, need more channels. It was hard to mix , 101 is pressing every other sound away, but i will give my best .
i also still have many problems : ) i know them but it's not that simple to work out, and making each gear in the set-up to work with each-other :D trial and error but i will get there bit by bit! i also would like people to give me constructive words whenever they feel like. not needed but it would be nice : ) cheers and great weekend!
Thanks a lot. Yes i have both sh101, ms20 and both are great synths with his own charckter and sound. So hard to say . It also depends on what you want to do with it .
An important difference to note between the MS20 & the SH101 is the MS20 doesn't have a sequencer. It is a beast of a synth with two oscillators you can layer and mix, but no sequencer. Also the MS20 has an audio input for processing external sounds, the SH101 does not. Good luck and cheers on your synth journey!
+TheMurindo i use my Sony 2Track recorder mixing live and recording in 24bit/48khz , sometimes a friend is recording with his zoom 4Track Recorder too.
