I've had Roland SH-2000 since the late 90's and I never get tired of it. I used to have an SH-1000 and an SH-3. These three synths, plus maybe the Korg-770 and Univox MiniKorg are my favourite analogue synths of all time. Small, simple, beautifully designed, and well-built. These old instruments can be very organic and expressive.
We had one in this series where I worked (I don’t remember some of the sounds you’re getting (sample and hold?)). But that was back in 1977. The aftertouch sounds were very popular for leads. You get some amazing sounds out of it. Yes, it’s “Big Hit Single” was ‘Popcorn’. Great demo!
