You are absolutely right! But then, nobody "needs" SUVs neither. Or a golden Rolex, or a Tesla truck. You get the idea 😄Kind regards!

@@digitaldrumming yes, that is true. But honestly, a 10.000$ kit with still some machine gunning sounds, then better buy a Rolex. Besides…..most Drummers are normally not that rich and the type of a typical Rolex customer, which a DWe customer would be. Best regards, Joerg

Damn Ralf, that was so great! You are one of the best presenters on YT. Very fast and tasteful playing. Also the drums/ cymbals are very nice and sound freakin amazing! Edit- I wish you did clinics. I would love to see that.

Absolutely fantastic grooves. Genuine questions: how is the latency? Are there any downfalls of those cymbals? Is there a lengthy calibration process? Do they work good with the pearl mimic pro?

Thank you very much Steve! AE Hybrid offers individual manuals for each of their products, including basic trigger settings for Roland modules. Since the PMP is also fully compatible with any Roland compatible pads & cymbals, the CTS will also work nicely with the module. You might still drop them a short mail to double check, but there shouldn't be any issues I guess. Latency of software monitoring is depending on your individual cpu power / RAM and hardware/software setup. If you're using a fast & stable audio driver with your interface and have enough cpu power to go down with audio buffer settings all the way, you'll be able to monitor with no perceivable latency. I think a purpose on edrums is to lowering the ambient noise so i didn't understand why on any kit even drumtec,roland,Jobeky , ATV , Efnote or other didn't used any kind of isolation foam material inside the toms, snare and bass drum to fix this thing.I put pillows inside all my hybrid drumkit and i see very big difference in room noise!!

Yes, we use pyramid foam sheets/circles put to the resonance heads inside the shells to dampen the resonant sound. 😉

Beautiful & stunning kit. Amazingly tasteful & creative playing (as always, Ralf!!), and fantastic sound quality. Are you using an audio interface? Or using the 50X as the interface connected directly via usb into the DAW? Thanks!

Hey Dennis, thank you very much! Being a "studio guy", I actually prefer to use external converters/interfaces for monitoring to make operation more convenient. I never really got used to Roland sound modules' internal routing/monitoring when triggering external sample libraries. Kind regards!

How would you compare that hi-hat to Roland VH14D? Would love a more metallic feel from the cymbals, but the 14D does trigger very well… Great playing as always! 🤘

Thank you very much! The CTS cymbals trigger great, VH-14D is international state-of-the-art Roland tech & hard to beat triggering-wise though. In terms of realistic acoustic playing feel (&looks), the AE Hybrids are absolutely gorgeous. Kind regards!

Hey Ralf, ich hatte mich schon gewundert warum DT nen neuen Demo Presenter hat :-). Interessantes Produkt. ich überlege mein ATV Kit mit Mimic zu verkaufen und das hier zu bestellen. Was wäre Deine erste Wahl ? Diese Lownoise Becken (vermutlich natüricheres Schwingverhalten) oder die Sexy Filed Style E Cymbals? Mach doch mal ein Vergleichsvideo auch was den Lärmr betrifft:-).

Hey Markus, ja drum-tec möchte es jetzt lieber mit selbst erstelltem content versuchen 🤷🏻‍♂️ die CTS finde ich super, b20 kommt als nächstes „dran“ natürlich auch mit Noise Levels. AE Kits & cymbals werden ab März/April auch im neuen Mainz Store in der Ausstellung stehen falls es dich mal in die Gegend verschlagen sollte 🕺🏻🥁🍾lg, R

Would be great to show how loud are these drums in comparison to sth like Roland VAD or efnote..

Hey Piotr, there will be a noise level comparison between the CTS & Roland e-cymbals coming up next! For the drums: Toms & snare pads are about the same with all 3, while both efnote and AEH bass drums are A LOT more silent than any VAD bass drum (actually those are the loudest available in my experience). They use the Roland KD-10 as striking area mounted inside of the shell, which makes it even louder than KD-10 on its own. Kind regards!

Hey Jeff, we didn't test Yamah or GEWA modules. The shells shouldn't be a problem usually. Cymbal wise the ride can have compatibility issues when it come to Yamaha or Alesis. As a rule of thump: if your module supports Roland pads, you can go for it. 👍

Even a TD-17! 😉 Or almost any other older Roland nodule like TD-9, -11 etc. Or Audiofront eDRUMin to save even more.
