Steve Alexander, Roland Canada's Guitar and Amplifier Product Specialist, takes you through the first steps of setting up your VG-99 with an Electric Guitar. Steve is using a Godin LGX.
Great info, I got my VG-99 a copule of weeks ago, and I love it.I've been been digging into it, and conicidentally, this video shows two things that are fairly complicated to figure out from teh manual, how to blend COSM and magnetic pickups, and how to set the GK buttons to switch pickups on the COSM guitar. Very helpful, thanks.
This is true. Just jack into the back of the unit where it says Guitar Input with your guitar and jack out to your amp where it says Guitar Output. You can use any effect that doesn't require the midi pick up.
does this mean to get the most out of the system the GK-3 is necessary? Also, with connection to an amp, is it suitable to use the 4-cable method into the fx loop of the amp so that time-dependent effects are used after the amp's preamp? -thanks
Its my understanding that the FX in the VG99 are from the GT10! and I can just use the VG99 as a stand alone FX unit just using normal pickups on my guitar , is this true ? if so how do I do this ?
Why do you say it's electric guitar??? It's a Midi guitar if you're using 13 pin!!! How do you get things to function with real electric guitar using 1/4 plug. I can't even get the tuner to work with it. Instructions in the manual don't help for real electric guitar.
