Such a beautiful and elegant workhorse of a watch, this plain vanilla Rolex is like a Morello cherry chocolate gateaux to me. If I could only have a 1 watch collection, this watch wins hands down.
Now that is a great entry level Rolex anyone would be proud to own. Is it worth the retail price? Yes! But is it worth what grey market and private sellers are asking? Not so much.
DateJust is one of the few that can be bought worn cheaper than retail. I managed to buy exactly this model 126300 three years old (2019) full set from Chrono24 for €6,850. Retail today 1/2023 is €8,050,- I am very proud and happy to have them :-)
I wish I would look more at these pieces. I have several Datejust 41s. It’s very understated but it’s a really wonderful configuration. This is something I could be interested in.
@@thatmexicanguy2989 I know it sounds like bs but it’s not! I have been collecting watches for years now. I have 13 Rolex 6 AP and two Cartier Santos. I just love collecting these brands. I love wearing them. I love quality, workmanship and the attention to detail. You can ask Mr. Mosso if you don’t believe me. I have sent him, at his request, a photo of my collection. I have added a few since I sent the photo but he can attest to my collection. I can not control whether you believe me or not. I can see how you might think I am lying as many people can only dream of the collection I have. It’s the absolute truth! PS I have a few more pieces that I am looking for to “complete” my collection. That is why I am interested in these brand pieces. I would Imagine you own a few beautiful pieces too! No need to feel like I’m lying. It makes you sound jealous, envious or just as you say above I am full of BS.

It’s not about the quantity of watches, I also own several gmts, several royal oaks with different dials too…. I understand your point but you seem to think that I should follow your recommendations and way of life. Everyone is different. I am sure you can understand his concept. I can afford these wonderful pieces through hard work and saving where and when I can. I will continue to buy more pieces from my AD. I hope you can find peace with yourself! Can you imagine if I told you not to buy this or that or how to spend your money. It’s none of my business. I would hope you can afford me the luxury of being non judgemental as I have you. I don’t know you. I don’t care whether you are rich or poor. That’s down to you. I am wealthy enough to buy these pieces. I don’t care if you live in london or New York in a usd 20million apartment. I am happy for you actually! I wouldn’t dream of telling you what to do with your money or your life. My personal views are just that….. personal. I think what it boils down to with you is envy. Envy of people who are wealthy and able to buy such beautiful high end products. Envy will rot you from the inside out….. I have seen what it does to people. Try to take it easy and be a bit more open minded. Your health will prove and so will your outlook on life. I do not like being called a liar but that’s my personal issue. I don’t really want to go down that negative path but that’s what you are in effect calling me.

This is one of the most readily models at any AD...even with zero purchase history. I would HIGHLY NOT going grey market for this model. There is not much resale value with this model as well.
I wonder where they are so readily available. In europe at least they are not even on waiting lists anymore. The wait time for these has increased massively in the last 2 years.
