The 126610LN is definitely superior to this reference. It does everything this one does only better and cleaner. Sleeker transition from the lugs to the bracelet minute hand is cleaner to the indecies etc I honestly can't see how anyone could say that the newer version isn't better? And I'm trying to be open minded??
Agreed. When the old Maxi case with chunky lugs was introduced I literally forced myself to wait until it was changed before purchasing. The wait was worth it. : )
The newer version has a known issue of running slow (some do and some don't). You can also hear the rotor on the newer models and the old one is silent..
@@anthonyb2990 i haven't heard of the issue of running slow. That would be concerning. Mine runs about 4 seconds fast per week..maybe i lucked out. Re. the rotor, I'll scrutinize mine later but I haven't noticed it yet. perhaps it could be a way tell it apart from counterfeits ha...
I have the newer 2021+ version. It’s 5 seconds fast after just over 3 weeks of setting the time. If you want to be a modern hunk, buy the new “12 series” sub.
Thank you for noticing this, you are actually correct. In the case of the 116610LN the ending zero means steel for both bezel and bracelet (and crown). You are not going to see a reference for the submariner ending with zero but with a gold bezel and crown, this means you could attribute the code zero to the bracelet as it goes together with bezel and crown.
Remember when i bought mine for £6500 in 2018… the good old days when i turned down a Batman because it was £1500 more 🤣 hopefully these days come back as these prices have just been all hype and over inflated!!!!
good old times I know what you are referring to... prices have dropped considerably since April 2022, yet professional models are still way beyond retail on the grey market, we are just going to have to wait and see...
