I would return the watch to the person that performed the service on the watch and ask them to open the watch up and remove the lint or foreign objects that are on the face and hands. This is a very nice entry level watch for people that don't want to shell out 5-10K on a modern of vintage Rolex.
It was carried out by an older gentleman who is a great watchmaker, but perhaps has slipped a bit in his old age. Very nice fellow though, and he said if there were any problems to bring it right back.
I think its a nice looking watch. Perfect for a new collector. I would take it back to the watch maker and ask him to blow out the dial for you and get the little bit is dust and hair out of it for you. I also have small wrists and I really like that size and style of watch.
Hi, Mike! You may be right. Usually, I buy watches that are original, etc. Being that this one was priced so low, I expect it probably had service hands and perhaps a service dial as well. Still looks good, but maybe not an example for purists. Cheers!
Absolutely beautiful watch, and love that strap. Did the gift recipient enjoy it? I bet they were thrilled! :) @mikekingsborough1 I’ve wondered about this as well, I recently purchased a 1981 serial 6694 and the silver dial reads “T SWISS MADE T” and I’m not sure if that’s correct to the year or not… wondering when they should read “T SWISS T” vs. “T SWISS MADE T”. I appreciate any insight!
Literally didn’t notice it until you commented! 😅 it’s not very noticeable in person. It’s not a perfect example, but looks the part for under $2,000. Cheers!
You personally have to value the brand, the style, the history ans so on, knowing that every mechanical watch from amazon 5 percent of the price you paid has netter specifications and are more durable.
