It genuinely isn’t that hard unless you want a Daytona, GMT or Platinum Day-Date. Got my stainless steel Datejust within 2 months with zero purchase history; few things that help, but honestly really not that hard.
If you want a Rolex in Italy don't go in big cities. It's impossibile to get. They have thousand of clients and you are not welcome, especially tourist, for them you'll find only full gold watches.
Just go Rep. I own pre-owned sub and explorer, and paid way over the AD price for both. I got into Rep, and I can have anything I want and I can wear them without feeling scare of scratching them. My Rep GMT master II has been with me to Australia, Thailand, Egypt, and France, and I have had good memory with the watch, and I don’t worry about scratching them. Just go Rep. Ignore the the AD and their stupid game.
Just returned from Italy and can agree about Rolex shopping experience.No appointment,no sale !But if you can go to say out of the way Rolex store which is off the tourist track I would not be surprised if they were available to purchase.We visited maybe a dozen stores over two months and found that at least some had some models for purchase .Italy is a remarkable country,plenty to see and experience.🇦🇺👍
Come to Shanghai mate, you will find quite the variety of steel Rolex watches on sale. Forget about golden pieces. I also still don't get how airport Rolex stores sell their watches when it is a transit hub!! It is not like you can make appointment and show up when they call for the available watch!
That's no different to my country and the stores. Display only for tourists. Sales only to residents. Makes sense otherwise we would never get ours. Never understood LV, looks ugly and tacky.

Rolex is pathetic. I hate them now. They think they are above everyone else. I’d love the whole community to stop buying Rolex for 12 months and see them change their whole selling criteria
Rolex at 7:59. It looks like vintage is the way to go. Rolex is just shooting themselves in the foot. Current Rolex owners should be able to buy a new watch at a Rolex boutique.
Luck for me I bought my first Rolex in the 1990's when they were far more affordable. That got me a buying record which years later gave me a foot in the door which you now have to have.
Went to Milan last summer . All the Rolex shops were closed except the one in the Duomo and the one on the side street next to it. People were not rude they just wouldn't sell. The Vacheron store had a woman's watch available but we wanted a Rolex. Milan is a beautiful city but you don't need more than 2 days to see it
Nice content but you have to be a masochist to pick up a hundred rejections in Rolex stores while most models on the gray market are offered under retail.
Thank you for the city tour. I was there 10 years ago, but did not visit the Rolex store. Shoulder bags are fine for men, but I would go for a non-branded one, something low-key.

Glad to see Rolex not available for sale. Keep up the good work Rolex. Dont flood the market with your watches so bargain hunters can get discounts on your watches. That dimishes any true luxury brand. Thats part of the reason Gucci is struggling right now.
Same thing happened to me when I was at that exact same Rolex in Milan a few weeks ago. The sales associate told me that they could put my down on a wait list but I would have to come fairly quickly to buy the watch once they called me
Lol annoyed by visit 1hr b4 closing. I visited taipei rm store just 30 minutes b4 closure n they served me bottled branded water with welcome hands , even though i bought nth (not that they had anything for sale 😅)

Federico Talks Watches says he wouldn't buy a used watch in Italy. This from a dealer with lots of experience and Italian antecedents. Maybe you dodged a bullet with the used Rolex watches.

Milan is such a beautiful city , visited it a couple of years ago as well as other cities in Italy and France . Regarding the body bag , I absolutely think you should get one as it’s classy and convenient if you need to get something from it quickly like a passport for example
Milan is so cool. Loved it. Rolex: I like how they used the lume plots from the Submariner for the decoration. Sometimes there is also an arrangement of hands in the decoration - including the lightning bolt from the Milgauss. Very interesting
