I went Rolex Shopping in the streets of Mong Kok, a popular shopping district in Hong Kong, along with a friend from WatchDen (watch dealer in HK linked below). We came across pretty much every new Rolex Daytona, Rolex GMT Master: Batman, Pepsi, Rolex Hulk, Rolex Submariner, Rolex Yacht Master, Rolex Sea Dweller, Rolex Deepsea, Rolex Datejust and other AP RO, Pateks and some Vacheron.

Thanks mate! I’ve spent a lot of time at Kenwatches as I get to film all their watches. They’re good and have 4 stores. Bought from them too. My mate at WatchDen is also a dealer and can source pretty much anything he doesn’t have. If you’ve got something in mind you could contact him as well. I’ve bought from him as well. But in general I’d recommend a walk around in TST and Mong Kok if you’ve got time.

Prices had jumped a bit during early 2022, to a point now that not many real transactions, and dealers not buying watches unless way under market price. I know that for a fact, 1/8 dealer replied to buying a SS Rolex, the rest didn’t reply or said no. A lot of local forums or chat groups have dealers bullying or trying to label people “sour grapes” that says the market is slowing down. Proceed with caution, only buy what you like or can afford.

I believe it’s in the ballpark of $800k. +/- 100k depending on used/new/condition

hi...I saw several prices that are way cheaper than grey market in the Usa for example a 2019 panda daytona for 37k usd??? is that correct ?

These guys go all the way to Hong Kong to look at expensive watches. Then they go to McDonald's for crappy cheap food. Hong Kong has the best Cantonese food in the world. Skip McDonald's and get yourself some Dim Sum at a teahouse.

I don't remember specifically, but they're definitely not as common as most other steel models. This video was filmed a couple months back so the prices were quite a bit lower.

Thanks Paul! Right now the prices should be bit lower here in HK in comparison to London. Although, they would probably equal, or be more, if considering the 20% vat import tax.

Thanks mate and that’s a great suggestion :) Like you mention, the sheer density of these watches in HK is almost unparalleled. I think I edited out more watches than I’ve shown in this video, it was getting pretty dry and repetitive. Originally I thought we’d be able to do TST and Mong Kok in the same day haha

Great video. No matter what people say, HK really is overflowing with watches, but despite that the prices have taken off in the 3 months since you filmed it. Keep your mask on for the next one those $5,000 fines are flying around!!

Thanks mate, I agree. The sheer density of watches in MK and TST is impressive. I would’ve liked to have my mask on for the whole thing but I had to pull it down just for the direct speaking to camera bits because my voice became too muffled and I seemed really inanimate to watch. I’ve got to wait for the cases to drop down before the next one I guess.

Ridiculous!!! This is really not good!!! All the shops are flippers !!! I should wish Rolex and other brands should make hunt on them !!! This view was like decades ago in the AD’s 😂😅 All sincere buyers are not allowed buying a nice watch but this stupid shops have anything available 🤮

It’s like any shop that sells preowned or that’s a reseller. People buy from the AD and flip to them. They don’t get it directly through the AD. I don’t see a problem, it’s just regular business. It’s up to the ‘watch enthusiast’ to keep or flip at the end anyhow
