I bought a 1967 yashica Electro 35 mm for £30 in an antique shop. Has the pad of death and the light seals need renewed but it's body and lense is immaculate for its age. Also has the original leather case. I sent it away for a full repair and service so waiting patiently for it's return. Great upload thank you for posting

Hi David! The lens is awesome, almost through another roll with this camera. Not my favourite camera to use but the lens keeps bringing me back. Enjoy it when you get it back!

These are solid cameras and I found the meter to work quite well!

Range finder cameras are famous for being "silent". There is no " barn door " mirror clanking up and down
@evantarakjian

I love that about them, however there is something so satisfying about the clap of a mirror.

I had bought one at a camera swap show for $35.00 about 25 years ago. Unfortunately, I sold it about 10 years later and regretted it. The lens is extremely sharp and I wish someone could produce this exact lens for digital cameras.

Thanks for the comment John! I wish the same, that would be sweet to adapt to my Fuji!

Ok I bought one of these for $20 at a garage sale and the film advance lever is broken off (still have the parts). Where do you go to fix these old beautiful things? I peeked a little inside and it has the previous owner’s roll of K-mart 35mm inside and had a Duracell battery that’s probably outlawed nowadays (Yeah this camera hasn’t been used in a really long time) . Do you ever get a previous owner’s film developed?

Hey! Grats on the great find 😄 Not sure where you could bring it to be repaired. Maybe a local camera shop would be able to or be able to steer you in the right direction! For the battery, there are adapters you can purchase online to house modern batteries. I've never come across someone else's film in a camera. It might be interesting to see photos even the past owner of the camera has never seen before or uncover something cool from the past.

It would be very easy to change the lever with a spare, you just need a camera wrench or a fairly pointed tweezer to remove the top lever cap. Takes 2 min.
