I don’t have rollers but your channel has helped me immensely! I have giant Hungarian house pigeons, and ELFT’s. I have had two of the biggest house breeders tell me the color of my pair is different. I’ve gotten told splash pair and pied grizzle/grizzle. I’m sure houses are at least a bit different in color varieties. I can’t find any colored like mine are. The female is 50/50 white and black with grey, but has brown on the tips of some of her feathers. The cock is 75/25 more black then white, also has grey feathers and a ton of the brown on his chest and all throughout his feathers. Their first squab with me looks like dad, with less white. I think it’s a hen, and slowly molting in more of the grey feathers. They are beautiful birds, a ton of the iridescent purple and green. Just trying to learn more about genetics and color identification, thank you
Hi Sam & Dan. Just stumbled upon your channel. Love your videos & birds. Am hoping to get into the hobby again in the near future. Am from MN. I have a question about breeding behavior that I can’t seem to get an answer from pigeon fanciers as they never witness anything like it. I had a pair of rollers awhile back. After the male mounts the female, he would then jump off get down and then the female will mount him from the top. Any reason behind this? If you can please address this in a future Q&A video, it’ll be interesting to know.

Pluck the flights from old birds ! That is very painful and draconian ! All you have to do is put elastics on first 5 flights, keep them hungry and the rest will follow
In the pass I would put tape on there wings so they can’t fly and in a few weeks I would remove the tape on some birds and this method would work very well for me.
@@therollerpigeonevolutionsm7763 breeding. i havent seen any in its droppings. i went to look for gender identification and its a female. and then noticed blood around its butt. small amount but still worry some because i just bought them a couple weeks ago.
