Hi Loz. Great videos, thanks. I have two, now three fantail doves, I am considering having a couple of pigeons as a friend has pigeons and has offered me a couple which I fancy . My doves stay local which is good but I am fascinated with pigeons who fly long distances and return home. Your videos have given me a lot of encouragement and ideas. Thanks a lot. Regards. Ken.
I keep trying to tell people. get a shoe box withe wheels on each corner. put some waterproofing on it. cut two holes for the wings and legs. cut a front peep hole big enough so the front bird can see, put peace of plastic as as a wind shield to stop bad weather from getting in. stick a map in with the birds, they will be fine! as we all know pigeons have a great seance of directions! thanks for of the pond pigeons!
love seeing your pigeons. they're really beautiful and you can see the care you give them. best of luck with the breeding. I used to have an awful time with red tail hawks eating my chickens. I figure I'll have to cage in part of my yard before I start up with more layers. Good video Loz
Yea same here Ron, there is an unhealthy balance now though, hawks are attacking each others man made nest sites and killing the young, so they hand rear them, release them and put up more nest sites!
I literally had kno bird slip pass wont out 10sec and the coopers snatched em....maybe even less than ten. He flew pass I looked up and the hawk hit....hadn't got higher than the roof.

Hi Danny, all about the same the kit boxes 6 foot long, and 3x3 foot, breeding one is 6 inch deeper. the cages inside are 12 inch high x 35 long. Cheers
there is a supplier of pet and bird foods near me called Bamfords so i call in there every month or so, you can get most thing delivered online these days though

Hey ppotty! I left you a message about a roller pigeon I rescued. Well, we were doing fine. I started letting her out after a couple weeks in her new loft and she would walk around the driveway. She didn't fly at first. The she started to take little flights. She always came back when I filled her food dish. Well, today she lifted off and flew around my barn. Wow! Haven't seen her since.
