Oioi Squelch Squad! We've got a special episode for you all this week... We met up with the wonderful Thames Mudlark Anna Borzello for some muddy treasure hunting. Not only was it an extremely successful outing with lots of juicy Roman and Victorian finds, but a really funny time too! Anna absolutely champed the mud and we can't wait to meet up with her again soon...

Anna is one of my faves. Her enthusiasm and eclectic finds make for fun mudlarking viewing. I was hoping you'd put the mud spill blooper in at the end or at least explain it. Anna is such a good sport. Great ginger pot Josie. Love your weekly posts.

Dear Anna, you're AMAZING!!! You're the first mudlark to last the longest in the pattens, out on the mud with the Mudpies! You, Ma'am are a Legend indeed! Seriously though, do you know how much that mud facial would have cost you in the US?! I feel guilty admitting I don't get a tingling when you discover bits and pieces of Roman pottery. Your ginger pot and onion bottle (from the past) did make the room spin. I am big on the stoneware and ink bottles. My biggest thrill is watching your adventures in the mud together. Your friend really did make a mess of herself. I feel for her. Back as a child I inadvertently wandered into a sewage leach field and was soon waist deep in crapola. My little black pattent leather shoes were never the same.

I am speechless...the ginger jars...are you kidding? The cod bottle mineral water...tremendous find...the Roman shards make me just go into my own time warp...love Romans and their culture...always wanted to build a Roman house...I even designed one for myself...but I was only 15 and no architectural skills...lol🤭😍😍😍♥️♥️♥️

The bit of roman with the shells in it, they would put them in for putting on the fire, so they would not crack when cooking, very clever, in modern times we put ground fired ceramic into the clay, and to burnish your pot, a nice smooth stone, makes the pot water tight, love roman pottery, I would love to find some.

Amazing video! I always knew walking in that mud was difficult. However after seeing Anna walk in the mud I truly can see how hard it is. Anna was awesome getting that muddy. My favorite find is the ginger pot! It is amazing!

Hello Legends, Loved seeing your guest Anna out traversing the mud. Seems like it might be a first time out ritual to get covered in mud for your visiting Thames mudlarks!?! 😯 That large Roman shard is amazing, but the top find has to be the Ginger Pot. 8:43 i bet that large piece is from an amphora. they were the shipping crate of the ancient world. i hope you find your gladius josie! love the fuse nose cap!!! Oioi muddies, Anna had her baptism of mud and took it like a star. Favourite find got to be the ginger, stunning. Fantastic vid as always.

Hello from Ohio. We have sun all day, today. It hit 70F. I'm sure there will be more snow beforel this winter season is over. Love the ginger jar. When you dug it out I said a big "WOW, that is cool". Can't believe Anna covered in mud. So funny. Great adventure.
