My sister was shot in the head, and they put a wax face on her. Open casket. It was horrifying to see my stepsister, the same age as me-19 at the time-laying there, with a wax face because her abusive boyfriend decided to murder her in public, while she worked behind a cash register. I only mention this, because it can take A LOT to create a close-casket situation.

"Spare the rod, spoil the child" makes my blood boil. You CAN discipline your child without abuse. Physical harm as discipline is just lazy parenting. Do your job as a parent and learn to treat your child like a fucking human being, not cattle. You made a choice to bring a child into this world, it's your responsibility to protect them, not further damage them. My dad beat me black and blue as a kid and that didn't change my behavior. That "discipline" only ruined the relationship I had with my father. I'm so fucked up mentally from that "discipline", the amount of therapy I need is unreal. Do yourself a favor and don't even have kids if that's how you're gonna treat them.

My theory, the dad saw the mom fall and either intentionally waited until she died (hence the angel part), or he maybe "finished the job" and killed her with a stone. Romans parents own a rope factory and have had this company for well over 20 or 30 years. They manufacture rope and his dad has money, so to assume that roman paid for the funeral is wrong. His dad can afford that. Yes Romans net worth is probably higher but his dad is doing just fine financially.

My uncle was hit by a semi truck and he had an open casket.

This is pretty disrespectful. His mom fell off of a hoverboard scooter and died in front of children. She hit her head so hard that they had a closed casket funeral because her head was so damaged.

This entire situation was weird. But its something that should be left alone. If the police or even the hopsital suspected murder. It would of been investigated. Over 1-3rd of e-sccoter accidents are TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), falling from a scooter can cause major injuries to the face aswell. As for being a closed casket, it was decided by the family member who set uo the funeral. Every funeral home will ask you, do you want a open or shut casket. They can also tell you if a open casket isnt advisable. Emmitt tills family was told it wouldnt be the best idea for an open casket. But his mom eanted the world to see what happened to her baby. Open casket is soley based on what the family wants. With suggestions from the funeral home

I was watching Roman at this time of his mom’s death. The whole family was in Hawaii on vacation, something they did often, and i believe it was the day before they were set to return home. They were riding like Vespa style scooters and the story Roman told was that his mom fell off backwards and hit her head on the path they were driving on around the hotel and died. Roman took a lot of time off from vlogging at this time and then came back with a video where he broke down talking about it, how it was effecting his dad, etc. This honestly was kind of the end of Roman’s family vlog because it was soon after this the stalker thing happened, they moved, their old house became a content house thing, and Roman started the podcast/converted to being a mormon. Personal opinion but I’ve always thought Roman to be a bit of a Black sheep in his family. He quit his job at the family plastics/rope company, had a bad relationship young + kid before Britney (Noah’s mom), gets with a 17yo girl when he’s 25 (Brit), gets famous doing prank videos and pivots to family vlogs when a lot of the big stunts were getting people like vitally arrested. I think a lot of his family who had ties to the family business were not super fond of Roman doing stupid crap tied to the name Atwood and his dad ran that business along with Roman’s brother Dale (Who was a vlogger too for a while until getting sick). In the early days Roman openly talked about hating working at the factory, being broke, having a kid and how that motivated him to build his empire by any means. I always thought Roman to be a bit squirrelly, but a decent person. Since the loosing his mom/stalker/move era i think he’s genuinely gone down a dark path influenced by a lot of factors. Reminds me more and more of Fousey by the day in all the bad ways.

idk how they do it in america but my mom passed from cancer 3 months ago,and after that we need to go to the hospital to take her stuff she had on and sign some papers so they can let her go to funeral place and my dad and her sisters went to see her but me and my brother didn't want to,because we want the last memory of her to be when she was alive so idk what or how they do it in america,or why would people even have open casket but that's just weird,like she fell off the scooter,next to her grandkids,and ambulance got her then what? didn't roman go to her in the hospital and they told them she passed,or idk,i watched him for long time i don't think he said anything about that

Medic here: even a fall from standing can k*ll someone… in particular those who take blood thinners or have other ore-existing conditions have a higher risk but more info is needed to assess the risks. Did she fall straight back onto her head or did she fall forward and brace herself before hitting her head!? Was she speeding down a hill? Etc. Etc. Albeit rare for someone not on thinners or with other medical issues but people have died from less heights.
