Andrew really was asking a good question. "Do you have a hard time being yourself" damn... A lot of these kids just need to talk to someone and let down the ego.

I think the funniest part about Steiny asking Andrew if he calls people out from his audience is so laughable because crowd work is Andrew’s big thing lol

People don't usually know this but Andrew has a degree in psychology, so Steiny should actually thank Andrew for the free therapy session

If you guys watch the entire clip, the questions being asked were either boring or awkward (they asked Schultz why he was having trouble having kids?). The entire interview was horrible and had it not been for the drama at the end.. pretty boring bc they weren’t prepared to have Schultz on.

The podcast’s energy was so weird. So unprepared, letting awkward silence set in, at one point Andrew started asking questions like wtf He was totally right

Andrew isn't even being rude to Steiny he's just trying to give him advice but he feels so threatened and offended by it. Makes me think he's probably only ever been around hype men who tell him everything he does is amazing, He needs to get out more and talk to people who don't always agree with everything he says

I think the skill that Ethan has developed over time is not doing too much research but being able to ask questions from a perspective of getting to know the person on a personal level as a human. He knows some of it but he is able to get more in depth and ask more about their lives rather than the boring usual questions people might get about their career or growth to success. His team also finds an activity or gift related to their likes or references of their career its sweet. It’s difficult to describe but that’s what I have loved about recent interviews like Bella Porch, Bryce Hall, Britney Broski, etc. They seem to work very hard to cultivate a safe or comfortable environment for the guest so they can talk more openly with him.

Andrew was actually being pretty respectful to Steiny, but it hurt him so much because Andrew was spot on. Steiny really needed to hear that stuff. Also, Andrew Schulz flagrant podcast is dope, probably my favorite podcast after yours.

This was one of those times where I wish that Ethan had a longer attention span. With peace & love.

In regards to the Steve part. If you watched the whole podcast you would see that Andrew actually loves Steve, and he’s really interested in Steve as a person. He told Steve that he’s got some endearing qualities, like he will joke around and say some crazy shit, but at the same time you can’t really be mad at him because you can see he’s a really good person with a good heart. So nah Andrew wasn’t about to say Steve is an idiot like you thought haha. He really likes Steve & even Kyle I think.

He tried to make a point that he plays a character way too hard but it felt awkward because let’s be real many people in the entertainment business do and it works for them so why can’t he? There are a handful of things that annoy me about podcast conflicts in general, as well as this one in particular: 1. Usually the more famous person automatically comes out on top, especially if they're a comedian. I personally found Bill Burr to be a crotchety D-bag to Ethan, but b/c he's the more famous comedian, he was showered with praise for OWNING the less famous guy. It barely matters what they say or do, they're getting the W. 2. Steiny did not seem fake to me when he was genuinely trying to figure out what he did to Andrew. Andrew repeatedly claiming that everything he said wasn't real was the definition of gaslighting, and would have got me really annoyed if I were Steiny. 3. Nothing Steiny did here was that bad. And Andrew's response to him was a very measured little call out. I hate when people blow these conflicts up like they're watching a WWE showdown. 4. Steiny isn't a bad guy. Internet audiences tend to revel at people's downfall who they mildly dislike like they're watching the downfall of Hitler. Pipe down, the guy is harmless, I don't like to see anyone's livelihood go up in flames even if they mildly annoy me.

Andrew was correct about a lot of things, but he came off just so arrogant. Like just the way he went off on Steve... Clearly the dude isnt the brightest bulb, but to say it to his face, so many times, while being so passive aggressive - its just unnecessary. and he came off like he was expecting to be treated like a mega celebrity, and was pissed that he wasnt. The weirdest part of the pod was when he was trying to claim that Kyle manipulated all of his viewers to like his content and buy into his brand. It was very strange.

Ive been pondering those EXACT THINGS Ethan described on when he was experiencing "Existential dread" going through a crisis mentally about why he's here and why does good brain function and think what thoughts come up, I've never been able to figure that out or find anything about it or anyone having this same exact issue It's one of very few things that mess you up big time even more than you are feeling if you can't find ANYTHING pertaining to what you go through as if it doesn't even exist anywhere outside of your mind and that you are so messed up that you mentally go through something so strange and shitty that no one else in the world relates so you can't even figure out a solution or get over it..
