The WASR10 has been on the US market for years. It has a reputation for both being a utilitarian rifle as well as a rather crudely made rifle. Either way, they generally have a loyal following in the AK community. Sure, there are prettier rifles that may be a bit better made, but few can argue the WASR10 doesn't work well. If you get one that can be zeroed, which is usually the biggest challenge, it will likely go on to serve you well. The WASR 10 UF is the underfolder version of the rifle.
If you carry a gun for personal defense, you need to be protected from lawsuits or criminal charges should you need to use your firearm defensively. I recommend USCCA: tracking.deltadefense.com/aff...

@williamdevlin5439
@williamdevlin5439 4 года назад
Who gets bit by their Ak? These romanian guns are put together , you just need to love them a little with some Emery and polish the edges a bit. If you want one that's perfect buy an Arsenal . The Romanian Ak is not going to be like buying a Ruger Mini 14 or a Springfield M1a. If they did so( and they can) the price would be a bit more (like the Arsensl) .These Aks give you a base platform so that you can save some money and do some finishing work yourself. The Ak is for the Warrior. A Warrior is not just going out plinking and dropping it at their smith for furniture swap and scope attachment. The Warrior knows their gun inside and out. Knows how it functions . Its their tool. If there's a stoppage they can figure it out and get back in the battle quickly. Its personal.if somthing is sharp they fix it be it file sand or wrap in tape or cord.

Thankfully I had a chance to choose between 4 of these rifles in person at a local shop. Two had canted sights, one had an EXTREMELY tight UF mechanism, one had issues with the UF detents like the one in this video, and the one I ultimately chose had straight sights... and a small of wobble to the UF... but it locked in very positively in both the open and closed position and was not difficult to deploy... so, despite the wobble that may increase over time (I don't care,) it was certainly the most straight of the four and took the least amount of "coaxing" to operate. I think these are excellent rifles, but, if anyone has the chance to view them in person before purchasing, I would definitely recommend it. I swapped the handguards for a surplus non-dong laminate set, added a Romanian bakelite grip and leather sling and called it good.

Those compact 20 rd mags are actually more practical for semi-only rifles; they are becoming my favorites. Could the cheap wood be for 922r?
@wormraper
@wormraper 4 года назад
@@petesheppard1709 It is. It's the same wood Century puts on the WASR 10 fixed stocks. They need SIX pieces to be 922r compliant from the factory. 3 for the FCG (trigger, hammer, disconnector are each 1), 1 for the slant brake, and 1 for that shitty pistol grip (literally the first thing I change on any wasr, it's worse than the romy bakelite ones by a huge margin if you can believe it)....the last one is the handguard and gas tube (both together count as 1 part).... without a buttstock to change out they needed to change out the hand guard. Otherwise they would be stuck replacing a piston, trunnion, barrel, etc.

I have a 2005 WASR-3. One day I was bored and wanted to work on a project. I decided to polish it to mirror image so I could Nickel Plate it. That is when I found out that the WASR's metal is shaped and cut by gorillas in Congo with blunt rocks! It took me several MONTHS to get rid of every machine and tool mark. It looks so gorgeous now, that I decided to leave it like that. All I do is buffer it with protective wax and has not rust at all.

The WASR is one of the few imported comblocs you can get at this time, and is decent enough to collect, and yea...it costs more than it use too. 3moa is ok; it's mil spec as with most of the weapons you see here ammo, optics, conditions, and the shooter will mostly likely determine your final results on accuracy.

I also bought a wooden crate of ammo for $150 with something over 2000 rounds. I still have 1000+ rounds left. Shooting 300 yards is about as far as I can hit anything, but that was the limit of the range I use. Looks like its not ejecting lie most other ak's. Some seem to just fall out rather than being flung to the neighboring state. At 2:45 it also seemed like a ftf since ammo was still in the mag. I normally give a gun 400 rounds before i start to judge it but this one seems odd.

I’ve got a Two Rivers Arms PM md.63 full stock Romanian build and I love it. MAC: do you still shoot your ARX? I bought mine after watching your review and it’s honestly one of my favorite 5.56 guns.

Maybe I got especially lucky but my wasr is Perfect. Serial 2017 I think. Came damn near sighted in from the box, no can’t, finish was okay all rivets places well. 6k rounds so far not one problem.

My WASR came sighted in, I didn't have to mess with it, but the sights were canted a little. Zastava has nicer rifles now for the same price as the WASR. I would go with one of those over the WASR.

I have one of these and a palmetto state gf3 under folder. I feel like the gf3 is gonna hold up better but only time will tell. About 500 rounds thru both rifles and it just seems like the gf3 is better built.

I like what PSA is doing but I doubt that the GF3 would outlast the WASR. It's not that the GF3 is a badly produced rifle, it's more that we already know what WASRs can do, which is hold up to about 100,000 rounds of full auto abuse at battlefield vegas before failing. There's a lot of documented information on the WASR. Again not to take a dig at PSA.

I have a Chinese pre-band it’s an under folder an AK 84S one. It’s the only AK I have ever owned but I’ve had it since 1987. It has been my safe queen until I decided to prepare for the shit hits the fan times. I have baby this thing for a Long time. I would like to say I’m thinking about a wasr 10 but I paid so little for this classic and it’s flawless so I guess I’m stuck with it.
