Israel's program: Acts 2:39 kjv For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. "as many as the Lord our God shall call" Is that every Jew ? Revelation 17:14 kjv "and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful" In the present dispensation everyone who is "called" is saved. Not all men are called - for Paul says: "But unto them which are called" - which denotes not all are called. Those who are saved are saved because God determined before they were ever born to make them and save them. He started with a plan. We all have the same Bible - some point to themselves as to the reason they are saved and others are not - the elect point to God and His mercy as the reason they believe and are saved. The elect believe because they were born of the Spirit - and their faith is fruit of that Spirit (Gal 5:22 kjv).
@@user-nd7dy2kv6x You quote from Revelation 17:14 These are "called AND chosen" so definitely you can be called but not respond to that call, thus you have NOT been chosen to hear and respond. Just that simple but that's how it works. It doesn't take away men's responsability though. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 is an example of that responsability which God will then punish. Hard speech I know but Jesus got that reaction too in John 6:66 when He spoke in terms of election.
@@Corinna_Schuett_GER in the present dispensation it would appear that only those chosen in Him before the foundation of the world are "called" - that is unless you can share a verse where Paul says God has "called" all men ? The language of Rom 8:30 kjv doesn't seem to leave room for all men being "called". Rom 8:30 kjv Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. It would appear that all who are "called" are glorified - not just some of the called. In 1 Cor 1:24 Paul says: "But unto them which are called" - which suggests not all are called. Matthew 22:14 kjv For many are called, but few are chosen. The word "bidden" is used in place of the word "called" in Luke 14:15-24 kjv - a parallel passage. Paul's use of the word "called" is always accompanied by grace - the effectual working of God's power. Gal 1:15 kjv But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, 16To reveal his Son in me... I don't think God's grace ever comes up short in relation to those who are "called". In the parable the word called or bidden represents the gospel of the kingdom. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. All that the Father gives me will come to me - the election of grace.
@@user-nd7dy2kv6x Turn your logic full circle: MANY are called, FEW chosen. Makes = FEW called PLUS chosen. See the difference? Same number of people called + chosen from the beginning. Yet there's a rest of "called + NOT chosen" which is NOT considered in Romans 8.
Oh REALLY He doesn't? Read the NEXT chapter. Rom 9:13-14: "As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid."
@@user-nd7dy2kv6x YES, but there are TWO types of "vessels" and GOD is the potter, WE are the clay. GOD forms the vessel and predestines it like HE wants, not like WE think of him doing so.
Since when is Pharao from Romans 9 an "Israel" guy? Rom 9:17-18: "For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even *for this same purpose* have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. *Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth."*
Those who love God are those who are predestined by God, those who are justified are those who are called, those who are glorified are those who are justified. Justin you are good teacher but on this matter it seems to me you have wrong understanding!.
